I just have to say it. I check out a dozen dfferent story sites per night, for 10 years now, collecting stories that interest me. In 10 years, the EA story archive has been "The Big One", the last site checked each night, the one with the best chance of having a real gem in the New Submissions area. Seeing a new CvanD, Slammr, Sander, CuriousGuy, ClassyBitch, Paolo, etc. etc. etc. story is the highlight of my day for, as I said, 10 years now.

Losing access to that is pretty much the saddest thing I've 'lost' from the internet in ten solid years... and that includes many, many entire sites disappearing.

I thank the board directors, past and present, for the incredible, uncalculable work they have done for, what, 12? 15? years to maintain this massive collection.

That being said.... I'm about to make a little spot on ASSTR to post my own stories that I've posted here at EA, to start. ASSTR has existed for around a decade, and hosts innumerable collections containing themes far beyond that allowed at the EA for years. Obviously this would be totally unconnected to this site; it'll be a strictly personal collection... however I'd certainly love to include works by anybody who wanted a venue.

Beyond that, I look forward to the future and the hopeful re-integration of the story board, in a 'classic' or all-new format, with or without the old stories.

Thank you, Board Directors, for all you have done. I fully understand that taking it down, even temporarily, is not something you have done lightly.

I'm interested in this as well, as that was always one of my favorite areas of the site. Understand the issues the team is dealing with though, so nothing accusatory, just curious.

In a word - no.

There are a lot of issues surrounding this, which probably won't be resolved until after the M.O.M.

Offers are appreciated, and yes there are technical issues with the "homemade" scripts that run it.

However, that isn't all of it.

It may take a while.

Please do not start a new thread on it.

Thank you.
