News of the World

Post by Riverwind (imported) »

News of the World is shutting the doors for good, Sunday will be there last day in business, all owned by Rupert Murdoch. Its not about truth, its about tabloid news. Lawsuits and criminal charges may be on the way, it goes from 10 Downing St, right through the government and press. OH MY, this is going to get real ugly.

Going to get ugly?

IT ALREADY IS UGLY...

Man it's descending into the depths of hell ugly now.

Hacking into the deceased's voicemail?

Hacking communications of dead soldiers families?

hacking roughly 4000 people?

That's not just ugly, it's burn in hell territory.

Muckracking is cleaner in that it involves mud not monkey shit at the bottom of an abandoned cage left for five years to ripen.

Eavesdropping on the grief of families of dead soldiers is grisly and unethical.

What I can't see is why they want to do it. Grief is a universal emotion and is the same for everyone. We have all grieved at some point in our lives.

Human interest stories? Certainly not for me.

One can only hope that they now feel the same grief and for an extended period of time, no amount of grief is to good for this group.
