Just to play devils advocate here. No he should not pass others peoples pics off as himself nor should he lie however we do not know his motivations. If he has some issues about his body and this fantasy/lie/ (or self delusion) is his way to deal with it then prehaps, until more facts come to light, maybe we should not judge him too harshly.

If, for example, it turned out he was a true Nam vet with post traumatic disorder and this was some type of release for him then I would view his misdemeanors in a different light.
