Here are my options: It looks like cyproterone is legal, so I plan, at some point, to order some and undergo a period of chemical castration, in order to determine whether or not I would enjoy being really, physically castrated. Is this sort of "trial run" necessarily a good idea? Could the effects of being physically castrated be radically and unpredictable different than being chemically castrated, or is chemical castration a reliable indicator of what physical castration will do in that same person?

I found a doctor named Dr. Reed in Miami, a few hours from where I live, who will perform the operation provided letters of approval for provided by two psychiatrists. It looks like the operation is $1500 or so. Is there a safe, legal and cheap way to do it yourself?

Also, how would I go about finding a doctor who would be willing to give me prescriptions for the necessary blood sugar, hormone, liver enzyme, etc. tests? Would I have to find a sympathetic doctor? Could I feasibly go up to your average doctor and tell them that I'm taking cyproterone, that I will continue to do so regardless of their counsel, and that the least they can do is help me to be safe about it by monitoring the relevant chemicals in my body? Also, what kind of insurance covers such tests, and how much will it cost? I have BlueCrossBlueShield.

also, i was thinking about getting castrated and then taking small amounts of testosterone to counteract some of the more extreme effects, so that i'm not utterly deprived of male hormones. is that the way to go, or am i better off not taking male hormones? my intention would be to stave off osteoporosis and diabetes.

As far as blood tests go I just go to a random clinic and ask for a blood and testosterone test. The doctor would briefly ask why I need the tests and I tell them why and what medications I am taking. One doctor thought I was crazy but that didnt stop her from ordering the tests.

I dont have insurance so I spend around 150 dollars for both tests. When you pay in cash many places give a discount.
