They, the women, would not. People confuse clit removal with hysterectomy for some reason (the removal of the ovaries) analogous to castration in males

I think clit removal is more analogous to a penectomy than a castration. The bits that make the babies are still there. Hormone production is not affected. She'll still be having her period once a month, if she's not on the pill.

Calling clitoris removal "female castration" is a misnomer. Of course, not having female sex organs myself, I can't speak to the emotional loss a woman might feel from the loss of sensitive material in that area.

Personally, I wouldn't even go so far as to say it's the equivalent of penectomy. Closer to glansectomy, in my opinion.
