damage in three minutes?

Reading through this thread has got me a little worried. I have been banding my balls for quite a while now, in fact whenever I have had to satisfy sexual urges (which up until recently could be several times a day), including quite a few times when my balls have turned deep purple and gone cold for up to an hour and half.

As far as I can tell I have not got any scarring on my scrotum as a result, but my question is do the balls have to turn blue before any damage could be done? Or just does relatively loose banding (without the balls turning blue) also cause damage over time?

On occasion when I have really tightly banded my balls so they turned blue, especially when I have suspended a 5lb dumbbell weight :-\, I have noticed quite a bit of pain in my legs afterwards for several days and also abdominal pain and an upset stomach - which usually eases over time if I don't repeatedly band that tightly.

I'm not sure if this is also related, but about six months I measured the girth of my balls at 8¾” and when I measured tonight out of curiosity the girth was 8” which seems to me to be quite a discrepancy.
