I"m glad that they started the story in the pilot six months after the invasion. But this ain't WALKING DEAD or BATTLESTAR GALACTICA or even THE CLOSER all of which were good shows.
BUT I will have something other than IRON CHEF repeats to watch on Sunday nights. So that makes it alright.

I miss V. They had the better approach.
I tried to watch Falling Skies but was turned off, and turned it off because of all the senseless bang bang noise.
V was brighter and prettier.

Re: USA Network's FALLING SKIES
This wasn't anything special. It wasn't a new twist on the plot line and it didn't set form a bunch of compelling characters. However, Spielberg's presence will make it viable for at least a couple seasons.
The relaunch of "V" was abysmal. It was the same story as the first series and tried to live off the old fans. That doesn't keep a 2010 or 2011 audience. It is one thing to run 30 minute situation comedies with the same plot year after year after year... It's quite another to do a dramatic program with the same plot over and over.

I was annoyed that "V" killed off all the interesting people! Especially Diana and that delicious Tyler and his hot dad!

Re: USA Network's FALLING SKIES
I also thought that the remake of V was unwatchable. The pilot of Falling Skies was not very good but I think it might get better.
I think the reason the robots have two legs while the warriors have six legs is that the warriors are mercenaries or slaves from another planet that the true aliens invaded and took over.

Re: USA Network's FALLING SKIES
Why in the world don't the humans use rocket propelled grenades against the two legged robots?
