pics on bme

Hey Gang,

i recently had my computer die on me, and all my pics with it. the only copies i know of taken during my castration are what i uploaded to BME about a decade ago, under the nick "puerileboy" .. if any of you have full access to BME, can you verify that they still are there, i do not really want to pay for an upgrade, but will to retrieve the pics; however i would be annoyed to do that, and find my pics were no longer there..

If it even was a Hard drive failure there are companies which can recover the data from the hard drive. If it was not a head crash they jest replace the motor or electronics, but it does cost.

If the motherboard or power supply you can just move the drive to a USB portable inclosure and just copy the data off to your new computer.

Computer crashes is the reason I have at least all the files/photos saved on CD/DVD multiple copies and 2 portable hard drives of duplicate backups.
