Yes truly one of the better feeling in life is a good long pee. A good healthy fart goes a long way as well.

Yes there are some bodily functions that just feel good, a belch, fart, shooting your load.

The fart, there are as many different farts as there are people. Hmmm, I think its time for a new thread.

" I pass gas, you pass gas, we all pass gas, la la la ta da."

There's nothing quite like a good long fart in an outhouse for the echo effect.

Just watch out for snakes.

Snakes, where are the snakes? I want to get my hands and mouth over the snake. ๐Ÿ˜„

Oh, you meant the other type of snake. I think dropping a (non-poisonous) snake in the out house while someone (especially someone you don't like) is in the outhouse would make for a good laugh.

What about the one where they move the outhouse back so that the front wall is at the back edge of the pit? That last fatal step, SPLAT! :realpisse :realpisse :realpisse :realpisse :realpisse :realpisse

I know of someone who would have bought a house boat and gone to live under the golden waterfall. ๐Ÿšฌ

One of the 'wonders' of 17th Century London was the 'Jacks' on London Bridge. I believe that it could accomodate something like 56 people at once.

Of course there were no partitions or anything to provide privacy and it discharged straight into the river.

No wonder that 'shooting the bridge' (going under the bridge in an open boat) was considered to be so hazardous!

LOL

Wow, this is an old thread!

I have bad news, in that since this thread started, our much-loved old outhouse finally succumbed to time and the elements. Grandpa had to tear it down. Truly a sad day.๐Ÿ˜ฟ

slavescott (imported) wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2002 7:10 am Outhouse was the word! I should have remembered...

The largest of three office buildings I somtimes work in backs against a new housing development. When the bulldozers and backhoe's broke open the old farmer's septic tank and outhouse, they spread the very old contents all over and the STENCH was "interesting" ... The people who worked there all day were grossly offended by the ripe and omni-present smell of fertilizer.

Within 24 hours we unleashed our Industrial Hygienist (he has the best sense of smell of anyone I know) on the contractor and he had them spread lime over the "remains" to calm the fertilizer smell that hung over everything...

The moral is: for good morale beware of old outhouses and the tanks beneath them.

BTW, Paolo, what is Tucker's Terrible Turd Factory that everybody from Terre Haute, Indiana talks about?

This would be the city sewage plant just to the west of Honey Creek Mall. I grew up in this area, part time...long story...but I know the neighborhood.

...and what do they mean by the "City of 7 Odors?"Take your pick:

The sewage plant.

Weston Paper Mill.

The Railroad tie plant.

The feed stores, like Graham Grain.

The Wabash River.

The town dump.

Any combination of factories in that area.

You should be there in the summer, when not a puff of air is moving, either.๐Ÿคฎ

This reminds me of a nearby river that has a sewage plant located on it's bank's. Most of the locals will not fish there due to the fact they may catch the dreaded "Lump Fish". :-\
