I wonder what will happen when people find out he has been castrated. If he has to shower after P.E., The other boys will notice, especially as he gets older. In seventh or eighth grade, they might just assume his balls are small or not descended. When he is in eleventh grade, the other boys will notice.

Write your version of what you think would happen then. Sander has given permission for anyone to use his themes, to add to his stories, or to translate them into other languages. One is seldom given all the answers in any story.

Sander's prose style is excellent - one of the best in the Archive. I liked his clever portrayal of Kim's dysfunctional family.

I was less comfortable with the episode of Kim's castration without anaesthetics where Sander appeared to relish describing the boy's excruciating pain. Or am I being over-sensitive? Forgive me.

The piece raises two issues, both mildly topical:

a) Once again the topic of castrating boys and adolescents has hit the message boards and the question is, if a preteen boy actually wants to be neutered - to avoid the physical changes that come with puberty or whatever, AND TAKES THE INITIATIVE, should his wishes be granted?

b) If there really was a drug that could be painlessly injected (cf. "Visit to the Clinic") to destroy the testicles over time, would this affect the attitude towards castrating boys?

Sander tells me there will be a second part to this story. "I meant to write a quick one off story," he told me, "but I don't guess I was finished with the character yet. Sometimes, they take on a life of their own."

I don't share Gandalf's regrets at not having had my balls taken out before puberty. At 78 I still enjoy fucking girls.

However at one time in my life I thought I'd have to face it. During a ball game I received a hard delivery right in the private area. Everything swelled up and for two days I couldn't pee. No antibiotics then (the year was 1944) so all they could suggest was bed rest, cold compresses and hope that the swelling went down.

However (the paediatricians said) if it turned to septicaemia, "they" would both have to come out. They didn't predict what my life would be as a boy-eunuch, but my mother tried to psych me up by saying "Think of all those page-boys who have their little balls taken out so they can't "do it". Where she go that information from I've no idea.

I can relate SOOOOO well to Kim! Although my family was a lot better constituted, that desire of not wanting to leave childhood behind, not wanting to become one of those wretched adults, was strong in me (and still is, but now it's far too late). Peter Pan? Not exactly, but close.

I'm proof reading and will be helping with the editing of the follow-up version of this story by Sander. It's different and took a turn I didn't expect, but that's Sander's stories for you. It's still Kim's story, but Sander is telling it first person, as if Kim is telling us the story.

I don't know how long this story is going to be, but it's long already. Certainly, all your questions about what happens to Kim will be answered, but I can't guarantee you'll like the answers. Since Kim is still there at the end telling us the story - we aren't at the end yet - we know he survives; but Freedom might no longer be an appropriate title for the story. That's a discussion I'll need have with Sander.

I will say that Kim is not the last boy to get castrated, but if you've read any of Sander's stories, you probably knew that. And as you might expect, some lose more than their balls.

I don't know whether to start posting what he's written or to wait until he finishes the story. He swears he's going to finish it, but we've heard that from him before; but then, he has finished some long stories.

If he doesn't finish this one, I might finish it for him. I'm hooked; I need to know what happens. If I post it, and you start reading it, be warned, it takes a dark turn. No one will get killed. I personally won't let him kill any of them off, but the story doesn't end all love and kisses, as I thought it would end, after reading the first story. As I said, it might not be titled, Freedom, but it will be an ending for Kim's story or an alternate ending, at least.

One could read this story without reading the first one; there's enough exposition - back story - for us to know how Kim lost his balls. This is tagged minor, so keep that in mind before reading it - if and when I post it for him.

Now, if he'll just finish the damn story.

That was a hot story. Though.. I've seen loads more pain in other stories. This was almost mild in comparison=p I like it best when the castration itself is thorougly written and described.
