Can I stop erections?

Post by hoosierdad (imported) »

Hi everyone, I have been on Androcur for almost 6 months now and am pleased with the results so far but I want to stop all erections. I can lay in bed with my wife just enjoying her company then my penis decides it needs to get some attention and ruins the moment. I am getting sick of the feelings I get when I get erect and I know sex is not going to happen due to my wife's lack of sex drive.

Does anyone know of any safe and reliable methods a man can use to stop all erections? 🙋

As usual, thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Hoosierdad,

From what I've experienced and read from others here, it seems that the only way to stop

ALL erections is to increase your dosage or to get surgically castrated so that they are completely nonfunctional or gone. It has to do with one's testosterone level. I still get them in bed early in the morning when I have to urinate and when my testosterone level is at its highest during the day but they are not accompanied by any urge to do anything about them. They quickly subside after I use the toilet and they don't reoccur until early the next morning.

When I was using Androcur and Tamoxifen together, I don't get any erection whatsoever.

But when I was on Androcur alone even at high dosages (200 mg/day), I could still get hard, though rare, and I could even feel the urge to do something about it.

Androcur at 50 mg and Tamoxifen at 20 mg wiped out erections and libido for me.

They do make chastity belts for men which prevents erections.

They don't stop the erections, just make them painful by holding the penis in a downward position when it's meant to go out.

There is not a 100% safe way of stopping erections. You have said you have been on Androcur for 6 months so you should be at castrate levels of Testosterone, so getting castrated will not change your erections.

Having your prostate removed can cause ED and incontinence, or raising your prolactin level can stop erections but can cause breast growth and lactation.

I notice that you didn't say that you had a testosterone test so you really don't know what your testosterone level is at except that it is probably lower than when you started taking Androcur. But even if you get it to a castrate level, some eunuchs are able to get erections and even have sex. I read someplace that 18% of the men who were castrated before age 60 could still have sex.

Decreased erections and libido, yes. Absolutely no erections ever, probably not.

I have had regular T level checks since starting Androcur. After 30 days it was at 67. (100mg/day for the first 20 days, 50mg/day after that. After 3 months it was at 300. I have increased my dosage back up to 100mg/day this month and I get my levels checked again in July. I am hoping for T levels below 100ng/dl but who knows how my body will react to the higher dose.

I was hoping there was a med I could add to my Androcur that might wipe them out, but it does not sound hopeful. Oh well, looks like I may be one of those unlucky Eunuchs that does not want a libido, but whose body can't quite figure it out.

Thanks for the input.

Estrogen can cause ED but in some it can cause erections and increase libido, plus doing femanization.

Not to sound snarky or anything but Hkeunuch's solution of adding tamoxefin to what you are already taking is an EXCELLENT solution that even has added health benefits! You can get it from inhousepharmacy.biz and it's not that expensive.

Good luck!
