The most recent story on the archive is very badly formatted.

I think it needs to be fixed.

Several stories submitted lately have been poorly formatted. Most of them get deleted. This one seemed to have some value, but it was either allow it in or delete it. It's not getting reformatted, unless the authors want to reformat it and resubmit it. As it is, you have the choice of reading it or not.

Unless I can find a way to get Firefox to wrap the lines, I will not read it. If I was not already crazy, scrolling back and forth for each line would drive me crazy.

Re: Badly formatted story
I saved the story to my clipboard and stuck it into Word. It produced a semi-correct format which I can read. I would send it back to the archive except I know the formatting will revert. The author(s) need to go trough it and format it line by line. It is a good story and worth reading, but not the way it is now. I believe this is a result of the story being written in ASCII, not a formatted utlity.

Copying it into Word will format the story. Unfortunately, as you said, it turns out the same as before, when it's put back into the EA story submission software. There is no easy way - that I know of - to format this story. Copy it to Word, and you should be able to read it. If so much work hadn't been put into this, I would have deleted it because of the formatting. As it is, those that want to copy it to software that format it can do that easily and read the story.
Generally, if I submit a story, I write it in Word and copy and paste into the story submission software. It doesn't maintain all formatting, such as italics and bold and centering of titles, but the rest of the formatting is acceptable. If anyone has other suggestions, ones that maintain more formatting, please let me know.

Re: Badly formatted story
Actually, you don't need to reformat the whole story. Just change one little line.
Take the line of dashes out, replace it with a <hr />, and presto, all the formatting is fixed. Or at least changed into something easily readable.

I have done so, and it looks good.
Thanks...
