M.O.T.'s Thank Pope B.

I am so lucky!

Twice in my life I have been absolved from, first person present tense guilt for the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

I doubt many Catholics or other Christians have been twice forgiven in their life time by Papal efforts.

Well OK, but we have decided to charge you with genocide in the aftermath of the Battle of Jericho.

The walls of the city collapsed, and the Israelites were able to charge straight into the city. The city was completely destroyed, and every man, woman, and child in it was killed. Only Rahab and her family were spared, because she had hidden the two spies sent by Joshua. After this Joshua burned the remains of the city and cursed any man who would rebuild the city of Jericho would do so at the cost of his firstborn son. Clear violation of several rules of war. And remember, after Nuremberg, you can't use the excuse that you were just following God's orders.

Clearly, you will be expected to personally contribute to a fund for reparations for this historic injustice.

So when did you become a Catholic? First you must believe that the church was right in the first place, second you accept the charge, if you reject the whole notion of it then they are just words on a paper and meaningless. Then again I did notice that Jews were very happy about this.

Why? Who cares? Maybe I missed something? (recovering Mormon),

Moi, Most Christians, forget that Jesus was a Rabbi, a Jew in good standing, that he was NEVER a Christian in his lifetime, its only after he was crucified that he became became a Christian, at least in the eyes of some believers. 😄

No I don't have to believe the Church.

Just be affected by its' teachings.

I had Mel Gibson pegged when he made "Passion of the Christ". A "passion play" was used to rile up village folk to get angry and go pogrom a nearby Jewish village. There is no record of passion plays before the middle ages. Must have been inspired writing.🙄

Joseph Campbell of Jungian Psychology and "Hero's Journey" fame was deeply branded with old time Church teachings. I have discussed this with my best buddy who reads Jung stuff heavily and was an alter boy, unabused.

Consider; the last of the hard core church folk imprinted and Pavlovian responding to Jews since childhood are only in their forties now. Timing their childhood through Church school.

And it is palpable in my OLQA neighborhood.

I don't have to believe anything. Just get my house paint balled with parental supervision.

Minimally, fourth cousin to Jesus

My guess is Mel and my neighbors are among those who feel they know better then their ecclesiastical church and will continue to practice the classic ways.

Simply put

Church 🤗 Pavlov,

Jews 🔥 Church taught volk
