New toy
Well, my old van was on the verge of dying, so I took it in today and traded it in on an 09 prius, thusfar the car is really neat, and I'm hoping that the combination of it being newer, and having higher mpg than my van will translate into savings down the road

Re: New toy
When my old car started puking its guts up I sold it for 250$ scrap value and got a 2011 v6 mustang. 305 horse and 31 mpg stock sounded like a good combo to me. Plus I let both dealerships know I was putting down 7k cash that day and just sat back while each one kept offering me a better deal than the previous one. In the end I ended up only paying 21k (list was 24.5) with 2.9 percent interest. My payment are just over 300 a month. Not bad for my first new car negotiation right?

Perfect timing, Kimi, what with all the gas prices skyrocketing lately. (Even though the price of oil is down lately.)

A Prius for a Van!
The inside of a well padded hockey puck for a mobile space?
I luv my 1995 4WD Ford Expedition as opposed to my iddy biddy Toyota Rav4. Moi bad.
Green Freaks

My Expedition, Hell even my Rav4 against a Prius, Moi walks away.
Remember when we use to value traction? Now they call it "road resistance". Less traction is engineered into the Prius. You get a little more in the touring package but it cost ya one MPG.

All Prius owners should move to San Francisco and appreciate each others efforts to accelerate ever so slowly as not to kick in the gasoline motor.
Just not in front of Moi.

Re: New toy
You know, I think I need to get my already slow driving habbit in front of you sometime >:)
I don't think I'll ever care about getting those first 20 feet on the electric motor, that's just being anal.

Re: New toy
i LOVE black. Ever try to keep a black car clean? its a friggin nightmare. Not to mention Microscopic abrasions causing swirl marks in the crystal clarity of the clear coat in direct sunlight. had to polish it twice just to get the marks out from when the dealer wiped it down the day i bought it. Can't even touch it if there is dirt on it. Gotta spray it down first and even then you can only use 100% cotton or microfiber to touch it. pain in the ass i tells ya. I never cared about this stuff before but its my first new car so i wanted to keep it beautifull. The wife gets on me for being so anal about it and i say "bitch......you are the one who insisted we get black. I knew better" . but all in all i love it. i like the look of the new camaro better but im into technically superior things which the mustang certainly is. the v6 beats out the camaro and the challenger in almost all technical aspects. i need to bypass the limiter though (only 300 bucks) it pisses me off a car that does 160 cuts me off around 115-120. i guess it doesn't really matter If i really wanna go fast my 08 cbr1000rr does closer to 200 with the mods i have in it. i havent been able to get it over 175 though. it gets a little scary.....and a LOT windy at those speeds. by the way, if you look up a pic of the cbr, mine is the red and black version minus the giant ugly rear fender, and with a different muffler. like i said. mods
