He said what? this is a test

Post by Riverwind (imported) »

I found some quotes, they may not be original to the person quoting them or may be have a slight difference to another quote but that is not the point, below are some quotes, at the bottom of the list are the names of the people that the quotes go with, some have more then one quote so be careful.

And Good Luck,

I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.

Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.

My dream is of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.

Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.

In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

I didn't fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.

History is written by the victors.

I have never developed indigestion from eating my words.

If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.

Approximately 80% of our air pollution stems from hydrocarbons released by vegetation, so let's not go overboard in setting and enforcing tough emission standards from man-made sources.

When written in Chinese, the word "crisis" is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity.

A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life.

Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.

No nation was ever ruined by trade.

Abraham Lincoln

Benjamin Franklin

Ronald Reagan

Thomas Jefferson

John F. Kennedy

Winston Churchill

John Wooden

Muhammad Ali

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Good Luck, Answers will be provided in a couple days.

I don't know who said it, maybe Benjamin Franklin, but I believe it.

It's about time we take to the streets against these oppressors and others like the Koch brothers. We are rapidly becoming serfs to the rich. It's about time for a revolution. They own the wealth and they own Congress.

To the streets!

I recognized the John Wooden quote from articles after his death. The Reagan quote couldn't really belong to anyone else on the list. I guessed right on two Churchill quotes because they sounded like him and I got one Kennedy and one Jefferson right, for a total score of six out of fifteen.

Actually was Thomas Jefferson, in his fight with Alexander Hamilton about the founding of the first United States Bank and mint.
