WordPress Help Needed

I don't know if anyone here knows anything about WordPress, but if you do, I need your help.

I want readers to be able to comment on pages and posts. None of my pages shows any way for people to comment. I’ve checked the boxes in my theme (Woo’s The Morning After) saying that I want comments. No results.

I posted in the WordPress Forum. I got a reply saying to “put once <?php comments_template()?> in your page php file.” Assuming that the page php file is the HTML version of the page, I tried this and nothing happened. Is there something I’m missing? Some special place this line has to go? I’m a total novice, so I may be missing something obvious.

I was also told to “put once in your page php file.” Is this the same thing? I tried this and it didn’t work either.

Someone else said to use

This is very important to me, and I don’t know what to do.

I might have an easier time helping if I could see the page/site you're talking about. I use wordpress and have not had similar issues, but I could go check and see how the template you're using works if I know what I'm looking for.

I do get comments on posts. Just not pages.

I've checked the boxes in the theme controls saying I want comments on both posts and pages. I've checked the same boxes for individual pages.

I hope there's a solution that doesn't take programming.

I'm not sure I can help you with this one. I always get comments on my entries, but not sure about pages.

Problem solved. People on the WordPress Forum provided 2 lines of php code, and said to check if they were in the page.php file. They weren't. I installed them. It worked! I'm so happy. I obsessed about this for days. Thanks for offering to help.

I'm very happy you got this sorted out. I would not have known where to look for the coding issue.
