How eunuchs should be treated

Post by raynestorm (imported) »

Going back to the dawn of time, eunuchs have been entrusted to be caretakers of the most precious people in the empire - women.

Vestigal virgins, harems, the emporer's daughter - even his wife, were entrusted to eunuchs.

Having been male once upon a time, eunuchs have more muscle mass than their female counterparts - but no longer have testicles they no longer have sexual urges.

This means they can perform body guard and escort duties without fearing whether or not they'll violate someone. It wasn't just a matter of sex, it was also a matter of geneology. When the king has a child, he - and the kingdom - needs to be sure that the child in question came from the king and no one else. If the female members of the royal family are surrounded by eunuchs, there's no question.

It was even common for them to be considered sages. Think about it. Once the testicles are removed, life is brought more into focus. Sex falls away and the mind is free to set itself to other contemplations.

Even in the Christian religion (no holy wars, please) Jesus himself said that, "Some have been made by birth, others were made eunuchs by man, others did so for the kingdom of Heaven." His point was that, with sex out of the way, eunuchs were better able to focus on religious matters. (Matthew 19:12)

Moreover, eunuchs are more in touch with their feminine side now - yet they were once male. They walk the thin veil between man and woman. They can speak for both sides....mediate, if you will. Help them understand each other.

That's the way they (and very soon we) have been - and should be treated.

We can only pray ... actually ... no ... we can work to change the worlds minds and hearts.

How very true and i agree with everything that you have said and as eunuch were trusted with females this may help to explane why married eunuch get on a lot better with there wifes compared to when they still had there testicles and are more better at getting on with them as they are more in tune with there female side

I want to add to this a bit. In many ancient cultures, the purpose of having eunuchs around was to ensure that the women did not get pregnant by someone other than the sovereign. Several of those cultures offered castration to badly injured but loyal military leaders, who could no longer be of service in battle. Their physical prowess before injury and castration would make them able to look after the women, and provide them at least some pleasures.

Part of the philosophy of placing eunuchs in positions of power and trust is that with no progeny of their own , they would remain always loyal to the ruler, and protect his interests. Under old english common law, a eunuch could not inherit, and many first born sons saw to it that ambitious younger brothers were castrated to protect themselves from a murder plot.

Eunuchs today are so far removed from what society is all about , that many have a very difficult time understanding them. There certainly is no one out there who is castrating boys in any quantity, and rulers are not castrating folks to guard harems anymore. That largely leaves the voluntary eunuch . The idea of submitting to having your balls removed makes most men cringe, and even women shudder. Its a knee jerk reaction to something that they simply don't get.

Society will come around to accepting the new breed of eunuchs, but slowly. Think how shocking it was even 30 years ago to see a heavily tattooed man on the street. You just did not see that. These days half the men under 30 are boasting bold and colorful full sleeve tattoos. Piercings also were once shocking, but now commonplace. As society moves further toward a direction of acceptance of variations in the human form, eunuchs will be more understood.

As a community unfortunately we lack really positive spokesman to the general public. If some sexy , hunky film star came out as a eunuch , then all the sudden it would be cool, not a "twisted" idea. We have many scholarly members of this board who often speak to interested audiences about the eunuch, and do so in a tasteful ,and proper method. They however do not reach a mass audience. Only time, and an increase in the numbers of eunuchs will make the general public aware what we are really about.

I thought this was a good posting personally. I am seeing a Urologist next month for the discussion as to whether or not he will perform the Orchiectomy. I am a lifelong Catholic and have read the quote in Matthew:19:12 probably two dozen times in the four years I have been thinking about becoming a eunuch. I still see it now as I saw it then...Jesus was telling those who had problems with sexual obsessions bordering on possibly becoming a rapist, pedophile and the like might have a better life as a eunuch and being in our Lord's favor. I had a philosophy professor in college who once said "truth is something that works" so with respect to being a eunuch, for me this should help me to be a more religious person. My hope is that people will respond to me as a eunuch person and not as a freak of nature.

I'm a eunuch and have absolutely no desire to bridge a gap, be a woman, or understand them. Broad generalities seldom work.

I am no eunuch myself, but I do know a few things about the human body.

1) Loss of testosterone (T) does NOT clear your mind.

2) Loss of T does NOT make you more feminine.

3) Loss of T does NOT eliminate your sex drive. It only diminishes it.

4) Loss of T does NOT make your penis shrink.

Just to clarify something, eunuchs were used, as was previously stated, because they had no ABILITY to have sex. It was not because they lacked sex drive. As far as eunuchs being "better with their wives", loss of T doesn't change who you are. If you are a brutal person before you got castrated, you will be afterwords as well.
