Re: Babylon 5
I so need to do another B5 marathon soon. It's been a good while now..at least three years. And such a brilliant series. Been distracted by the delight that is BSG instead..

...And 3 Hail Marys
I really must keep reminding myself that sacred androgynes are not the same things as angels in the bsgverse, but I do like the idea of Gaius Baltar and Caprica-Six getting merged into a single being in some kind of horrendous transporter accident:D

Re: Babylon 5
Does anyone remember the episode late in the series where after a snuggie night with Claudia Christian/ Cmdr Susan Ivanova, Andrea Thompson/Psi Talia Winters had a deeply embedded Psi Corp "personality" revealed by Patricia Tallman/Lyta Alexander the most powerful humanoid Psi in the universe courtesy of Kosh the First?
Or is it the first Kosh the Vorlon?
Regardless, anyone remember the revealed embedded personality at all?

Lyta's experience with the Vorlon ambassador permanently changed her. She was recalled from her assignment a few weeks later and questioned regarding her encounter with Kosh. Interrogated for months by the Psi Corps, she eventually escaped and joined the Mars Resistance. While underground, she uncovered information regarding a mole among the Babylon 5 command staff, and returned to the station in late 2259 where she revealed Talia Winters as an unwitting mole for secret forces in EarthGov and Psi Corps.[3]

Re: Babylon 5
A link!
That's cheating. Not like a committed Babber.
The point being does anyone remember how Talia was reconciling her Psi involvement with Ivanova the evening before and the personality unlocked by Lyta really was pissed off at being activated too soon. Or something like that.
Memories, anyone?

Re: Babylon 5
The episode is called DIVIDED LOYALTIES and is described here:
http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/countries ... e/041.html
And I think you are hinting about this. Straczynski has a whole big discussion about their relationship in this episode.
When Ivanova has her final conversation with the dominated Talia, she indicates that it gave Talia the words that would get her close to all Ivanova knew. Just how much Talia knows about Ivanova is unclear, and we have no indication of just how close in addition to the emotional bond.
Had Ivanova and Talia had a physical relationship then Ivanova might have revealed her latent telepathy ("Do you know what its like when telepaths make love?" in "Mind War.") Since the alternate Talia didn't goad Ivanova about this, then either Ivanova maintained a block, or they didn't have a physical relationship.

Re: Babylon 5
Ivanova learned to block her mother.
She was an experienced blocker.
Remember Lyta psychically or Psi-ally pushing the "on button" to Talia's embedded personality. One Talia did not know existed in her.
Remember?

The Corp is mother, The Corp is father.

See message 65.
Me thinks some embedded "liberal" program is emerging ala poor innocent Psi, Talia. Submerged in a political conservative, yet Hebraic sort was good cover. Did pinko parents volunteer him for some Sovietsky science from the late forties that inspired the above remembered moment in Babylon 5?
We need a good inspector, someone like Cartman. Meanwhile, we can all watch and see if it comes out further and with unsuspected powers.
