Injections
Hi Guys,
I know that their are threads on this already but I'm thinking of changing to Depo Provera but is their any injectable form of Anti-Androgen? I'm finding taking tablets all the time dificult to fit into my day. My BF does not know and I dont want him to catch me either.
xx

Re: Injections
Depo Provera is the injectable form of Provera. Depo indicates an injectable drug. Ordinary Provera is in tablet form.

Re: Injections
Depo Provera is the most common way to reduce T level in males as far as US doctors are concerned.
My Doctor prescribed Depo Provera 150 MG IM injection once a month. It works very very well.
For awhile I had it done at the Doctors office and insurance paid 80% of the Doctor visit, but not the Depo Provera. So still it was just a little over $100 a month.
So now I buy the Depo Provera at http://inhousepharmacy.biz/.
They sell 1 vial of Depo Provera for $32, 3 vials $75 including freight. They also sell 6 for $145. They are in New Zealand and good people to deal with. It usually takes a week or ten days to get the shipment.
I liked getting the shot at the doctors office MUCH better than giving it to myself, but after a few times it gets sort of routine.
Good luck to you.
I know you did not ask, but I would suggest that if at all possible, you let your doctor know you are taking this. I am diabetic and it took awhile to get my sugar under control while on Depo Provera and I still check my sugar level more than normal just in case.

Re: Injections
Many people including myself would recommend starting with TWO injections to start with then follow up with a single injection every 3-4 weeks. Check out this thread:

Re: Injections
Thank you everyone for your replies. I am curently taking 2x50mills of siterone and 4x 2mills of estrofem per day. I have had good results but as the shots are more expensive I dont want to loose any potency having shots instead of tablets.
Will the shots be better for me???
Also will I need to keep taking Siterone??

Re: Injections
Dosages will vary by individual. Injections of DP are good at lowering testosterone but a lot depends on how often are you doing it? Guys here on the EA usually do it in intervals of 3 or 4 weeks but guys doing it as part of a judicial sanction get then weekly. Intuitively, shorter intervals will give better results but at increasing cost The solutions are blood tests for your testosterone level or just playing with different intervals so see which suits your needs best. Unfortunately, this takes time. to fine tune and find the sweet-spot for you. Given adequate doses of DP, you will not need Siterone. I haven't looked recently because I no longer have any need for anti-androgens but I remember a DP injection every 3-4 weeks was less costly than 100mg Siterone daily. I took DP every 28 days and had a testosterone level of just under 100 while castrate level was considered under 50 and normal was 280-1080. My thought was castration level would have been achieved if the interval was dropped to 3 weeks. This was low enough to kill my libido but still keep some strength and energy plus aid calcium absorbtion. At a cost of $25 for 21 days, this would be slightly over $1 a day.Just remember that everyone will be slightly different and experimenting and common sense will show the way.

Re: Injections
For estrofem I take 224mg per month (28 tabs per pack x2mg's 4 packs per month) works out at £26.32 (if you buy 280 tabs at a time to get discount)
For Siterone I take 2x50mg per day (purchased in two packs of 50 tabs) for £65.83 working out at £0.65 per day or £19.50 for 30 days.
Two shots per month (300mg) of Depo-Provera would be £27.42 so its no more expensive but I would need two shots per month to get the same mg's...
Its a shame Siterone is so expensive as it is a nessesity for me.
XD

Re: Injections
4x2mg of estrofem seems like an awful lot. I'm transitioning MtF and I only need 4mg a day.
