Can a Doctor tell?????
I have read numerous posts about grain alcohol injections and they sound like they can be very effective. A Doctor might even suggest removal of malfuncting testicles.
QUESTION:
Can a urologist tell if you have injected yourself with something?
I assume they could tell by the injection site, but that should go away very quickly.
I would assume the alcohol is still present for at least a few days.
Would a doctor be able to tell if there had been ANY such injections or activity after a week or two weeks???

I would think he might have seen it before, and if not and he referred you to a Urologist, I'm sure he's seen it before. If they had to remove them, they'd send them to Pathology to be tested and they would probably find out then what had caused their demise.

The pathologist is only really looking for abnormal (cancer) cells or infection. They are not going to dig deep and tie up the lab trying to figure out what happened to them. It would be incredibly rare for the pathologist to run across this more than once in their career. Could they figure it out if they really tried? Maybe. Are they going to try THAT hard? No

Are any urologists reading the EA forums? Possibly, but it's not likely yours.

Re: Can a Doctor tell?????
My first hand experience here is no, they cannot tell that your testes have been injected with alcohol. We always stopped doing any injections about a week or so before any appointments. After approx 6 months of regular injections, my testes were shrunken, very firm and resided in the top of my scrotum. My regular PCP doctor discovered them during my routine annual exam. He did ask about any trauma that might have happened but I said nothing in recent years. He sent me for an ultrasound which led to an appointment with a urologist. He asked about trauma as well because he was puzzled as this was very unusual. He called in his endocrinologist partner and they decided a surgical biopsy was in order. A piece of my left testicle was cut out along with some needles of contents from the right one. The lab report came back that my balls were "atrophied and infarcted" with no mention of anything strange which might relate back to the injections. Several months later, they were removed and sent to the lab and the diagnosis re-confirmed. In general, everyone seemed more interested in curing my affliction rather than trying to figure out an exact cause. No one asked me if I had been injecting alcohol into them or doing any other self-destructive acts. Now maybe they would have if I had some freaky history but I didn't have any unusual history prior to my castration.

Re: Can a Doctor tell?????
my pcp never noticed or said a thing after the burdizzo was used on my testicles
my doctor always had a physician assistant do those exams anyway
i cant remember her ever doing a proper exam of my testicles as i have watched on you tube
a proper testicle exam and penis exam are quite extensive from the teaching exams i saw on video
i think they were more interested in just collecting the money and getting me out the door
they did a hernia check and that was it never looked at my penis
my urologist is a different story...she does a thorough job

Re: Can a Doctor tell?????
You have an exceptional urologist. In my experience, urologists seem to be devoted to trying to convince me that I am wasting their time. On the other hand, my personal doctor was willing to have mine removed as were some surgeons if the review committee agreed (the committee did not agree). One surgeon even seemed to be excited about the prospect of removing them - It made me wonder what he likes to do in his spare time. --FLO--

From my personal experience, a physician will NEVER recommend removing malfunctioning, undersized, or undeveloped testicles or streak glands for any reason whatsoever short of cancer. Researching this phenomenon lead me to EA in the first place. (At that time it wasn't considered a "pornographic" site.)
Repeat: A physician will NEVER remove malfuntioning external glands. PERIOD. This has been my experience.
Getting an ophorectomy (hysterectomy) is quite the opposite.

Dev,
Tell me what is the difference between common surgeries like hysterectomy and removal of the ovaries; and frowned upon surgeries like penectomy and castration? They both deal with the reproductive parts and functions. The only difference; the common one is female and the frowned upon one is male.

Re: Can a Doctor tell?????
The difference is the patriarchal nature of the urology business. Plus, ovaries and uterus are concealed within, while penis and testicles are external and visible.
