As I said in a previous thread, I started taking Dutas, a generic Dutasteride (Avodart) some months ago. In that thread I talked about my inability to ejaculate since taking it, although I could still orgasm. Something else I've noticed - and I don't know that it is an effect of the Dutasteride or of age - is that my penis is shrinking. Since I was twelve, when I first measured it, until I measured it a little over a year ago, it has been 6-1/4" inches long erect. Now, it measures no more than 5" fully erect and a couple of weeks ago it was 5-1/4".

Does anyone know if Dutasteride has this effect?

Hey Slammr..I've been taking Avodart for about a year now...and I haven't had a real erection since then...but I was having problems before getting a real good erection... So, since I haven't had a real erection, it's hard(hehe) for me to tell if the little bugger has shrunk..I have Peyronie's disease too...so it's complicated. It's gnarliness makes it difficult to tell if it's any smaller.. As far as ejaculating...about 1 out of maybe 10 times I get some ...the rest are dry... Neater anyway..Hehe dragonfly

Some other effects I've noticed; I've been taking this almost a year:

If anything, my libido has increased. I'm turned on much more often than before. I'm 71 and age had definitely had its effect on my libido and my ability to orgasm. Before taking this, I could orgasm once or twice a month; now I can, at least, twice a week, although 9 out of ten orgasms are dry.

At first, my orgasms were less satisfying; now, they are intense, those, "Oh...oh....oh, shit!" kind of orgasms, even those they are usually dry.

Besides my shrinking dick, and it has shrunk at least an inch, my nipples are much more pronounced and sensitive. Touching them feels so good that I have difficulty keeping my hands off them. It's just the nipples that have grown. I see no additional breast tissue.

I"m growing new hair on my head, even in the front.

Anyway, all the changes are interesting, and I like all of them, even the shrinking dick.

i was on propecia for 5 years and avodart for the last 2. never had any ill effect on sex drive or errections or orgasms. i did take flomax for urinary symptoms and i did have completely dry orgasms after only a few days of treatment. i discontinued use and very shortly after normal O function resumed.

I've been on Flomax for two years now, and , in addition, was on Avodart for about a year, due to prostate problems. Plus, a number of years back, I was taking Depro Provera,for different reasons, for a period of 6 years.

While on the Provera, there was a measurable reduction in my testes size. I was endowed with very large balls, but had them reduced by about 25% over that period. After quitting it, they never returned to their original dimensions.

With the other two, an erection was simply out of the question! Not only did I not have an hardon, but there was not a drop of ejaculate!!

However, while no stiffness, the orgasm I did experience was greater than any I've ever experienced in my life!! When reaching it, my knees buckeled, I shook uncontrollably, stars danced before my eyes, and I almost lost consiousness!!

I'm still on the Flomax, but have cut my amount by 50% and have been off the Avodart for about 6 months now. I can now, at least, get a semi erection, but the return of my ejaculate is a pleasant gift. Its consistancy is more yellow and jell-like, as opposed to being white and cream-like. While the orgasms are not as intense, they are still most enjoyable, to say the least!!

As to penis size, I must say it is in direct proportion to my body mass, which has increased over the past years. When I was a svelt 6ft., 185 lbs., my cock was just over 7" erect. Now, however, that I've ballooned to an imposing 225 lbs., and have a substantial pubic pad, it has shrunk to a questionable 5" when semi and only 2" when flaccid!! I keep my pubic hair trimmed to a minimum, to assist in the appearance and size.

As a gay male, I must admit to previously being hung up on size. I was always drawn to a large phallus. Now, however, I'm more turned on, by what I call, "Baby dicks". I'm totally facinated by small penises!!

In spite of all I've said above, I wish my package was gone. Not just my testes, but my penis and scrotum, as well. I've wanted them gone since the start of puberty. Becoming an adult was a tramatic time for me. I never wanted to grow up!! I did binding and shoving my testicles up into my body cavity, in an attempt to stop the progression, but, obviously, to no avail.

While I did have periods of enjoyment with my genitles, I've always wished for their demise and removal.

Unfortunately, due to my advancing age, it's never going to happen, so I've resigned myself to this fate, of carrying them around for the rest of my life. Oh, well, such is life!!

As a young man I had a 6" penis. Now after 8 years of androcur and estrofem, I have a tiny penis and atrophied testicles that don't

After 3 strokes starting 17 years ago I am physically unable to achieve as erection. My penis size before was a nice (and partner) satisfying 7 inches. Now it is one-half to maybe one inch(at the most). The penis usually retracts into my abdomen--giving me a NEGATIVE penile length. My testicles and sac have also diminshed remarkedly to a fraction of their original size.
