castration and SRS

Post by siobhansmith (imported) »

Hi. A question. If one gets castrated before srs, independantly, and doesn't keep the scrotum, will this mean that srs cannot be performed? Is the scrotum an absolute must for srs?

thanks

No. One or two of the Thai surgeons required a scrotum, but others are willing to work around it. They can do split thickness grafts to get the skin they need, but it does make it more complicated. And if all else fails they can do a colon segment SRS, but that is riskier and more complicated and costs more,

Are scrotums used to form the vagina lips? Many biological women do not have labia minora to cover their vaginal entrance, so I guess we only need the scrotum to form labia majora, right?

The scrotum is used for the labia majora; what there is of the foreskin is used for the labia minora and clit hood; and the remaining skin is used for the vagina. This really is a situation where the more material you have to work with, the better, unless you go for a sort of a custom job.

Let's say I want neither clitoris nor labia minora. Then will my foreskin be used to make a vagina? Does it determine how deep the neovagina is?

The more material left, the better.

Please forgive my idiocy. Do you mean that if I decide not to have clitoris or labia minora, all the skin of my scrotum can help making a more vaginal depth?

Well actually the Scrotumskin is the skin thats equivilant to the vagina. The penisskin is basically a big clit.

I think that the statement of graylayer2 is very easy to understand, whatever you plan to do, don´t take anything away trhat you might need.

Thank your for your concern.

I'm quite sure that I will not need a clitoris. I have mentally prepared that I might never be able to have orgasm, and I accept that. Having a clitoris or not won't make a difference.

The clit is made out of the penis head, and the labia and canal are made from whatever skin there is. The more skin, the more they can do. Otherwise they go for some intestine, and that sounds pretty horrible to me.
