Hi

Post by Wellesley (imported) »

Realized I have been on here for a while and never introduced myself

-Chronic orchialgia since I was 19

-2 exploratory/ orchiopexies on the right 1999-2000

-orchiopexy on the left 2000

-Son born Dec 2005

-Pain peaked to a point where opiates at 15mg would cut it to a "5" right testicle removed June 2007 - pain free to present

-wife total hysterectomy April 2010 (Have been sexless since our son was conceived, different issue but did factor in my later decision)

-pain in left testicle increasing over time tried OTCs, lyrica 150mg per day etc etc. Pain management extremely inhibited cognitive function. Accepted that with wife infertile more children impossible. Wife eventually came to understand removal would not destroy my life. Left testicle removed October 2010.

-currently pain free, taking testosterone injections and monitoring blood levels.

Interested in getting best information on blood work monitoring, ideal T levels etc.

Consider myself a double amputee due to bad luck or surgical error.

Currently living in rural Japan.

Wellesley,

Welcome to the fellowship of the ball less. Glad to hear that your surgery , and post operative situation are good. Shots , such as you are using take some fiddling to get the dosage right, but once you do, you'll not notice any difference from when you had them, except for the lack of pain !.

Thanks,

Got another shot in the ass today. Then blood work next week. Can't get the 24hour post shot blood work this time though (max absorption right?)

What other blood tests should I be watching?

Cheers
