I heard a pundant say today, "you don't have the right to fly" if you don't like the rules don't fly, if that's a no option for you over come your issues. Until we get over the "but we will be sued" stigma that the world destructive power (ACLU) has created and just freeqin PROFILE your ass, then this is what we have to deal with.

Having said that, I think I had the last laugh being a pre-op male to female transsexual woman I did the body scan, I got flagged for the extra screen, the extra screen lead to a private room pat down with another female TSA agent. I should set the stage a little here, when I travel I wear skirts, very comfortable and I don't have to tuck as tightly leaving some wiggle room the lady asked if I had any medical issues, I told her I was a pre-op transexual and that I have proper medical documentation (my care letter from my shrink) she didn't bat an eye and began frisking me, I should also mention I am very ticklish so I start giggling as she does her thing and so up my skirt she goes to find my tucking job, she asked what was that? again I told her I was a PRE-OP transexual would you like to read my letter. She asked for it and called her female super over, they both read the letter and both turned beet red as they OKed me for my flight and sent me giggling on my way.

Now I'm sure that's not an A Typical scenario but I can just image how the TSA woman felt when she touched my and then asked what's that, now come on she was a grown woman LOL it's all in your attitude.

Shoe, Underwear, Cartridge, and Van bombers... if you bother to research, and i mean really research these, they're so convenient and set up its laughable...... and very sad obviously because of the danger innocent people are being put in for the sake of Bankers greed.

I have to disagree with Dave 100% with the whole "just bend over and let them shaft you" approach is really alarming to actually see someone write that, a terrible terrible very sad way to live life.

No matter what you wear or how you dress to airports, if you refuse the the (putting aside the degrading) dangerous scanner, then you're subject to this: (see link)

and don't say "oh prison planet... alex jones... conspiracy theories.. blah blah, moan groan" because at the end of the day, i'm not one of these nut jobs the media portrays conspiracy theorists to be, i'm just someone who asks questions about things, and why not, if something seems a little odd or wrong, why not ask questions, but as soon as you do you get labeled with conspiracy theorist.... and so what, at the end of the day, "conspiracy theorists" are asking questions which really you should also be asking, and all they care about ultimately is fairness and making sure people like you don't get hurt or shafted, which is more than the damn governments care about, so why knock them....... but besides.

But putting that little rant aside, this is a really bad situation and a sign of worse things to come, because this wont just be airports, soon it will be trains, football games, road boarder crossings.... you know this really right? ... so the the whole "i just wont fly" option also wont stop this from affecting you. One day you will be faced with this, ESPECIALLY you guys and girls on this website, getting stuff done to your bodies, you want that shit shown up on a screen for all to laugh at? or you want to be groped?.....

and for guys, what would you do if a TSA guy gets your wifes tits out to check for bombs? what will you do if a guy takes your kids clothes off who hasn't had proper checks before being employed and he turns out to be a peado.... or worse, you don't know who are in the ques behind you, this is all done in full view, you don't know what kind of people are there. Its all fucking disgusting and Daves attitude is a perfect example of what not to do in this situation, and a perfect example of how to let this become more and more of our daily lives. It needs to be stopped.

The poster who said the TSA was reactive got it right. One guy years ago had a bomb in his shoe, so ever since, everyone has to take their shoes off before boarding. Now someone had a bomb in his underwear, so everyone has to be scanned or patted down. When we agreed to remove our shoes, we set the stage for what's happening now. I wonder what will happen if someone puts a bomb in his rectum.

Doesn't this mean the terrorists win? If I were Bin Laden, I could wish for no better result than sending one goof on a suicide mission, only to have millions of Americans inconvenienced and humiliated for ever after. Each American so treated is reminded of the terrorists and knows that he's subject to their power just as much as the government's. Each American so treated is told to be scared. In a sense, this is a bigger win for the terrorists than 9/11.

No country is a greater terrorist target than Israel, yet Israel almost never has terrorist incidents on its planes. I can't remember when that happened. Why is this? Israel doesn't use scanners or pat people down. Israel uses what we call "profiling." They have very sophisticated descriptions of how potential terrorists act. They flag people who match the profile for aggressive surveillance, with no apologies for self-defense. The elephant in the room is that we could do this (Israel could teach us how), but we won't, because we fear accusations of bias or political incorrectness. So we pat down little children, people with prosthetics, etc., or subject the public to dangerous radiation, rather than run the risk of offending some group with a lobbying arm. This adds little to our security, while handing a victory to the terrorists, who get to terrorize Americans every day. All these contortions are NOT for the sake of security. They're for liberal politics.

To be completely honest, I thought I was beyond being flabbergasted. I mean I have seen stuff that would (insert horrendously vulgar metaphor here)... and thought I could never be flabbergasted again. And then the universe contrives against me...

I once rode on a commercial airliner with a .45 automatic strapped around my waist. There were two of us wearing them. It wasn't strictly legal, but we didn't want to have to check them in. There were no scanners or pat downs, so no one knew we had them.

That was a different time, and the world was a different place. No one flew airliners into buildings killing themselves and everyone on them; no one blew up their shoes or underwear in an attempt to bring down the plane he's on.

Depends on what you want. You can go through a body scan or pat down and have a reasonable expectation of arriving at your destination, or you can do away with these invasive security procedures and have a plane fall out of the sky now and then.

I have no problem with the body scans. As long as you don't trigger a more extensive check, no one will be able to match the scan with a person; and it's not as if they see you naked. Before you get all bent out of shape, check out some of the images (http://www.mahalo.com/full-body-scanner-images) on line. If you're a eunuch, it might show your lack off balls because you'll be missing the bulge they would cause, but that's about the extent of it.

No doubt they have some kinks to work out and will make adjustments - already have with the pilots - but as long as people are willing to kill themselves in order to kill Americans, we apparently need something in place.

Would you rather go through a body scan or die in a plane crash? You can also, as some apparently have, choose not to fly.

I would rather not fly, because, when I do, I fly standby and the seats in coach are so uncomfortable that's it's four hours of hell. They can body scan me all they want. Compared to the rest they put you through to fly anymore, that's a minor inconvenience.

You know Slammr is right, I hate to fly, on many levels, the Train is so much nicer and you can get up move around and the seat is nice and the food is good. You can bring your own, or set up your lap top and watch a movie or what ever without hassle.

The down side is it takes longer, but the country is so much nicer at ground level then at 35 thousand feet.

Even the bus is better.

Body scan? security pat down? Pooh! That's nothing.

Try working in a diamond mine. When you come off shift you strip naked and have a big hairy security guard look up your arsehole.

And if he's suspicious he'll stick a finger up there too. That's the one guy you don't mess with.
