Labels are dumb, I know, but I wonder how many others on eunuch.org have a similar motive for seeking/desiring/already-accomplished castration: an unstable libido leaving one with a desire for sex but little performance and iffy moods.
The normal prescription, I guess, would be to boost testosterone or libido through Viagra or some other stuff ... which I find wholly unappealing. Why must the only accepted solution for not being a nympho horndog be drugs to make you into one?

Society loves sex(not that sex is a bad thing) and the general thought is more sex=better and less sex=sad. Which is why you see all kinds of research on improving it.

For years, decades really, I desired castration so that I could eliminate all sexual tension, desire, performance. Sure, that is out of the norm, but it was what I wanted for me. After a severe case of double orchitis and few recent years of various non-castration treatments I have at last finally been able to reduce my testosterone to near castrate level. This has resulted in what I always desired; elimination of all sexual tension, desire, performance.
Oddly enough, this has resulted in elimination of all desire to be castrated. I still have my parts though they are small, hard, and feel no pain no matter how hard they are squeezed. It is as if they are artificial.
My thoughts on this is that had I acted hastily early in my years I might have caused myself some self-harm or sought out unqualified or even incompetent person to perform surgical removal. Surgery should be avoided. If one really wants to eliminate sexual feelings etc. one might consider acquiring a medication like Siterone; drugs too have risks and downsides and costs. There is no simple easy cost free pain free risk free way to go about this. Also, there are certain food and beverage consumption that can help reduce, but not necessarily eliminate, libido. Even then, one must pay attention to healthy nutrition and calories. Damaging and abusing one's body is never a good option.
