It all started this morning as it does every morning, we have a routine, I get up, get dressed and let Nellie, (the dog) out to do her thing, then we give treats and feed the fish and finally I put on the tea pot. When you have pets the first thing that you do is take care of there needs.
So this morning I let Nellie out as usual and she was not happy with the 3 inches of new snow and did not go far from the door to do her business there was no playing around or eating grass this morning it was straight back into the house.
Time for treats, Rupert always likes this part of the day and he has a choice of blue kind or yellow kind, (treats in different flavors, he likes the yellow best) he wanted yellow kind and Nellie got her "I can't believe its not BACON" treat, she will do back flips for this stuff, she loves all kinds of treats, she is a dog but the Bacon Treat OH MY.
So after treats were over and the fish were fed Rupert knows that he gets to go outside. This morning was no different however I told him "its snowing", he was looking out the window and could see this but somehow he had not put it all together. Rupert demanded as only a cat can to go out. So I opened the door to the porch and he headed for the outer door, I opened it and he ran into the yard about 10ft and stopped short, took a sniff, turned and bolted back in the house then shook the snow off his fur. Then he gives me a look like WHY DID YOU LET ME GO OUTSIDE? He makes me laugh, I gave him a can of cat food to make him happy again and now he is looking out the window as the first snow fall is covering all the mistakes of the summer and Rupert realizes its a long time tell spring.
