I agree that it doesn't, but in order for us to advance the cause of acceptance of trans people, we might have to put aside theories that at the moment remain unsubstantiable.

Personally, I say its possible, who knows?

It's horrible to think the Stonewall riots occurred in 1959, and public awareness of the gay population still required another 40+ years to become the least bit mainstream.

My point in mentioning the spectrum and diversity was specifically to remind people there is an enormous amount of human diversity

Consider the many different kinds of gay men you personally have known, seen, or read about. Then consider all the different types of lesbian women. Finally, think about the HUGE spectrum of bisexual and transgender/transsexual people. With that much diversity in a smaller section of the world's human population, the simple notion of "either/or" seems so ridiculously short-sighted and completely defunct, much like blood-letting for disease (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood-letting) or stonin
g for witchcraft. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoning)

Sadly amongst the lesbians, it seems penis = man.... so oh well... long way to go yet.

Yeah, I know. :( What's terribly sad is, there are so many beautiful girls these days who also happen to have a penis. If I were single, I'd definitely date them and treat them like the ladies they are.

Yes, that's correct. A penis doesn't automatically make a man. The same with balls.

It seems that most people only rely on exterior features to characterize a person. Most lesbians are no exceptions.

I remember another post of yours saying this:

In my opinion a M2F-TS after transition is a woman. Period.

....the pre-op TS with penis and breasts is only a stage on her way to a woman.

What will a chaser do after transition? Leave her for another pre-op TS?

the pre-op or non-op, with whatever they have, they are already women, because that is who they are inside. At best we can add in the effort to present or openly identify as one as well, but I am not even a fan of that as a criteria to call one a woman, because as I mentioned in the other thread, such criterias should not be dependent on variable functions.

So yes, most people depend on the superficial to characterise a person, that I definately agree with you. Yes lesbians are no exception, and may even be more stubbornly rigid about that, I also agree with you.

Oh I've also just realised, there are chasers who go after post-op trans women specifically. You know chasers don't necessarily need go only pre-ops or non-ops only. They're still chasing based on the fact that a person is trans, and it isn't any better whether they're pre/non-op chasers, or post-op chasers.

I know I get pretty turned off by chasers, even if they're lesbians who're into trans women, as much as I wish lesbians would stop being so anti-trans.

Its real simple, it does not matter what is between your legs that makes you who you are but what is between your ears.

Absolutely correct. Trans or not, a woman is a woman because of how she thinks, acts, and carries herself throughout life.

I am sure you meant to say 1969 since the Stonewall Riots happened early morning on JUNE 28, 1969 in a gay bar in NYC. I was just correcting, NOT flaming you. BTW, I agree with everything you said except for the typo. I don't understand why we are still fighting for our rights. It should be settled by now! "We'll keep on fighting 'till the end! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS..." Freddie Mercury and Queen.
