Rectally meds are absorbed quicker into the blood stream. Men who would do enemas of liquor would often die from alcohol poising due to the quick absorption into the blood stream since it is not processed through the stomach first. I would think those pills were designed to release their active ingredient after being broken down by the stomach acids and absorbed by the stomach lining. I would have to say no it is not safe but yes your boyfriend may be quite insane. He must value his sexual needs above your health and possible life. Just a thought.

If it was safe, I'm sure doctors would have thought of it by now. My endocrinologist fought me over injections. She prefers a topical medication as the injections can lead to a roller coaster effect.
