'An Australian athlete was sent home from the Commonwealth Games for bad behaviour this week and a washing machine was dropped from a balcony in Australia's section of the athlete's village after the closing celebrations.
No one was injured by the washing machine but Perry Crosswhite, Australia Commonwealth Games Association Chief Executive, said he was disappointed by the incident on Thursday night.
"We don't know who did that," Crosswhite told journalists on Friday.
"Delhi police came around and they've done a report and an investigation and we'll hear about that."
Crosswhite was not sure from which level of the 10-storey building the machine was dropped.
He also revealed that one athlete was sent home a few days ago for bad behaviour but would not reveal the person's identity.
"At the end of the Games these things happen," Crosswhite said.
"When everybody is finished, they are letting their hair down, they do all sorts of things.
"We just sort of manage it and get on with it."
Around 300 athletes will depart Delhi on a chartered Qantas flight later on Friday.'
Maybe this incident will result in phrases creeping into the Aussie jargon.
"I never partied so hard. I almost expected to wake up and find that the washing machine was gone."

...
WTF?
It's way too early in the morning to figure out how one parties with a washing machine...

There was a movie I saw once about some small time hoods in some totally forgetable neighborhood. The one memorable scene was when one guy's hottie Hispanic girlfriend hops up on the washer, spreads her legs and says, "Come on honey, you know you love the spin cycle!"

You've obviously never met a woman who enjoys the spin cycle.

Re: Must Have Been One Hell Of A Party
There is a simple explanation.
We know Ausies talk to their washing machines because they don't mind bullshit. After talking to it for some time, the host found out it was not invited. So he did what any red blooded Ocker would do ....... he threw it out.

Old American Frigidare washing machines used to have an agitator that went up and down. Can't say if a woman ever affixed anything to it and sat in a bottomless chair on top with the safety switch hot wired, though.
Maybe one of the athletes was seeking revenge for an unfaithful washerwoman. One thing is sure, if she put that washer on jerry-rigged Frigidare washer on high she would have dumped him on the spot.
Sort of gives new meaning to the phrase "all washed up"...
