mental health

If you self castrate, then there is a 99.99% chance that you will be sent to a mental health facility. So dose this mean that there are more people who have mental health problems,or is it just a case that it is more easy to put a lable on people who self castrate.

For i truly do not believe tha just because you want to get rid of your testicles, that you have any form of mental health problems. Yes we do need to go and see psychiatrists and psycologists, just for the medical world to carryout a castration. So if wanting to have your testicles removed is not a sign of mental health problems, why are we put in to mental health care when we do self castrate.

Because the Emergency Room doctors do not know you. They do not know or understand your state of mind. The Psychiatric hold is the ER doctor's attempt to insure that you are not going to leave the ER and hurt yourself or kill yourself.

It is not just doctors but the general public who would label us as mentally ill for wanting to be castrated. I finally decided that I would go the psychiatric route and try to have this done by a doctor and when I discussed this with my wife who knows of my wish to castrated she was not supportive of the idea because she said I would be labelled as a nut case and they might lock me up. This is the general perception out there. People are starting to understand the whole idea of transitioning from one sex to the other but just can't wrap there heads around the idea of a man wanting to be castrated but continue to live as a man. Try telling your doctor you would like all your genitals removed but continue to live as a man and see how fast you are'nt sent to the local shrink. At least that is how it is in small town ( country ) Alberta Canada.

Yes true the doctor will send you to see the shrink, but as tey now recognise body dysforia, and that it is an illness,i would think that it is about time they did the same with those who wish to be castrated.

After all with bd they do not lock you in the nearest psychiatric hospital, and try to say that you have a mental illness,is it not time that the medical world seen this, after all themedical world is ment to be tking steps forword.

But when you see how in the twenty-first centuary, when it comes to males wanting to be castrated they seem to be taking a victorian age look at this.

They cant hand out medication to cause chemical castration when there is no medical reason, and say yes fine try this when later on they will tell you that you are mentaly ill as you want to be surgicaly castrated.
