Thank you so much for responding.
I honestly enjoy hearing about the effects that will happen to me, and you detailed them pretty well. Thank you for that...I know everyone is different, but is there any chance you can give me a timeline of when the things you were saying will

happen? if not its fine...thank you again so much!

Vince

It really is not possible to give an accurate timeline because as you say, everyone is different. Some people are still able stimulate erections with relative ease long after their loss of T. For others the effects are almost immediate.

I can tell you what is happening to me now. It has been six days since my last application of T, and I still get morning wood, though it seems to be a bit softer, and other nocturnal erections are not as frequent. Spontaneous erections have almost disappeared. I can still easily stimulate an erection, though it is starting to take more effort. Changes in libido are a longer term change for me, but others report loss of libido almost immediately.

The important thing to remember is that the changes will not happen overnight. Even when they start to happen, that is the only the beginning. They will get progressively stronger over time. You'll also want to keep in mind that the timeline is probably different depending on how the person in question is achieving the loss of T. Someone who is being surgically castrated with no prior exposure to castration will probably have a different experience versus someone who is beginning chemical castration versus someone who is surgically castrated and stopping HRT.

Give it some time to work. The effects are not as an on/off switch, they come gradually.

fhunter said it well. You are simply going to have to be patient. Believe me, I know how hard that can be. I am having to remind myself of the same thing right now. I wish my libido were gone too, but I have been through this before, and I know it does not work that way.

After my initial castration, I was still having sexual thoughts and the occasional unwanted erection several months later. The thing to keep in mind is that libido is just as much a mental process as it is hormonal. It will take some time for your mind to catch up to your body.

Things will start to happen. It will just take time. And like fhunter said, you don't just wake up one morning with the full force of all the effects of castration. They are progressive.

Thank you guys...I know it doesn't happen overnight...it just scares me, cuz I'm running out of money and not sure I can get more siterone. So I've got about 2 weeks left of 100mg, or i can stretch it out with 50 mg for 3 weeks. Either way im going to have to eventually stop, and it sucks...I just want to feel the effects. I know I have already felt a little bit of the effects, like not getting as hard, and feeling of not wanting to really be horny, but sometimes i get even more horny than I used to without the siterone. So its interesting, I just want to not get hard really, and to stop being horny. Thanks again,

You might consider using Depo Provera instead of Siterone if your finances are tight. I haven't checked recently (have been surgically castrated so don't need it anymore) but it was available in lots of 3 for $75. Previous to my surgery, I took one injection every 4 weeks so that was less than $1/day. Even if you increased the dose to one injection every 3 weeks, its still less than $1.25/day.

Update: Its been 7 days since the start of me taking it...and its been hard for me to document the changes, but I have to say the major one that I have noticed, is the edgy feeling I would always have in regards to sex, I don't feel like I have such of an urgency to have sex or like I need it all the time, since taking it. Before taking it, it was like sex was always kind of in the back of my mind and if i were bored or whatever, I would seek ways to make myself more horny or whatever. I mean now, I can still get horny, i just dont feel this urgency or incessent need to masterbate or get horny. It's been very calming in that regard, I am definitely enjoying that. Part of me feels like why couldn't I get this feeling before taking siterone, why couldnt i just calm myself easily and stop needing sex; so i feel like if i were to stop, i could try to find a way to get this feeling without the pills. I suppose the urgency and edgy feeling will continue to decrease as I take the pills, however, I only have enough pills to take 100mg a day for another 4 days, and then I plan on taking 50mg for another 16 days, when I will run out of it...I am not sure if I will buy more or just stop and be satisfied that I had done this trial. Another thing I notice is my semen has dropped considerably in volume and color, its not as much and its not as white. My erections are softer and not as strong, but still fairly strong, and I havn't gotten as many spontaneous ones as I would have before. Overall, I am really enjoying the effects, except maybe being tired or more exhausted when doing exercise, but everything else I am enjoying so much. It makes me feel like this is right for me, however, with regards to my girlfriend, I can not stay on these forever, plus I'm doing this myself and not with a doctor so long term health would be an issue. Anyway, thats long enough, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Also, if you have any suggestions on whether or not I should stay on the pills and buy more, please let me know!!

thanks

I am glad to hear that good things finally seem to be happening for you :)

The edge coming off your libido is only the beginning. Over time you could become completely asexual and impotent. In deciding whether to continue with anti-androgen therapy, you will want to ponder if that is something you can live with for the rest of your life. Plus don't forget all the other effects of castration!

Keep us updated on your progress :)

Thank you for checking in on me...its weird, sex has been so important to me for so long and getting off and masterbating and its been a huge focus of my life, and its been one reason why ive gotten this far, but taking that edge off and the libido it feels really nice like i can finally focus on whats more important in my life and not sex, or becoming a girl or whatever...i wish i could continue, but i dont know...im sure the edge will come back if i stop, im not looking forward to that, but maybe since i did this trial ill be more cognizant of the fact that ill be horny and maybe instead of doing stuff to increase my hornyness, ill do more constructive stuff like ive been doing without the pills....

thanks again!

I think most of usonly realise just how mutch the thought of sex and infact sex its self runs our life for us,it is only when we have done something to control our urge for it,or control of our t levals that we find out how mutch better off we are without any of it. I can only speak for myself and how things effected me,but i know once i was chemically castrated, and the medication started to work, not only myself but my friends and family seen a big differance in me,i am realy glad that i did start on the medication, and indeed i truly am looking forword to the final step. And to he day that i finaly get surically castrated, and yes i will be getting it done by a qualified doctor in the right sort of enviroment,be safe be sure.
