Clearly someone who has not launched his ass into the air on wings. Or worked outdoors. So I chalk it up to a comment from an earth hugger who doesn't even look out the window with curiosity.

Or perhaps this site isn't for you. You came here, we didn't come to you.
All are welcome here, but insulting us a group isn't a good look, nor a great start.

I'll quote one blogger (original was in russian):
In the world of big cities, as imagined by architects, time is driven into the rectangular cells of the day planner.
Each second is similar to the other, and the manager can shuffle and count them like bills.
He knows exactly how many seconds it takes him to get from work to home, how many seconds it takes him to get from his office to the directors office. He is sure that he will not be late for a date with a girl or for the theater. He measures time with an electronic clock.
In the real world, time rushes across the sky like wisps of cumulus clouds, Aeolus knows where. The time of pilots, sailors and farmers is measured with a barometer and anemometer. Every second of it is unique. At this second you are approaching the target by quarter of a kilometer, the next - you are moving away from it by the same amount, because the runway is not visible, and you need to go to an alternate airfield, losing hours, or even a day. (If you don't want to lose all the time you have).
When these two times come into contact, nothing good happens. Plans crash. A very wise person is needed, who can include in the plans built in the cellular-rectangular time of the city a sufficiently large reserve to compensate for the fluctuations in the living time of the surrounding world. Public figures usually do not have such a reserve, they are fussy and it is their fussiness that made them famous.
One thing pleases against the backdrop of all this philosophy - as soon as the city gives a little slack, the chaos of the surrounding world bursts into it, tears apart the cages of day planners, and time on the city streets begins to flow the same way as in the sea and sky. In Moscow, for example, with its traffic jams, even top managers have already learned to understand that time does not always obey them.

You may be right, since this is one of the most popular threads on our site.
However, it is within your power to create a thread-topic that is more interesting in your opinion, or simply express an idea for one

What do you mean? It's always fun to talk about weather! Maybe it's a me thing but I've always loved geography, and growing up in a mediterranian city, learning about different climates have always fascinated me

We are expecting mid to upper 40's Friday night, and upper 30's Saturday night. Frost is possible. I am bringing all my houseplants in, hitchhikers and all!

Re: There's Always The Weather
One of those weather stagnant times.
No rain.
No wind.
No temperature fluctuations
YES weather can be boring
Although I do like the darkness by 6 PM.

Re: There's Always The Weather
Just miserable here, cold and misty - but at least it isn't snow...
Just the wrong weather for Amazon to not follow my delivery instructions...
I want packages left at the top of our handicap ramp, where they are easier for me to retrieve and get inside the house... As a side benefit that area is under a porch and out of sight out of the street, so protected from weather and the dreaded porch pirates...
I have put 'delivery instructions' in the area on the Amazon address form to do this, and also have my packages addressed to Me; TOP OF HANDICAP RAMP; street address; City, state, zip....
So the drivers leave my packages in the driveway, in view of the street, and in the pouring rain....
It gets really old having to complain to Amazon Customer Service, as I always get the same routine - "We are SO sorry" "We will coach the driver about following instructions" "We will make your instructions a permanent part of your address record (they have done this at least 5-6 times now...)" and so on....
Since it seems to me like my request falls well within the "reasonable accommodations" requirements of the ADA, I'm thinking of filing a complaint w/ the state disability commission - see if that gets their attention...
Flip side - I'm not sure just what caused it, though I think it's probably related to the fact that I write fairly detailed reviews on a lot of the stuff that I buy, I was recently invited to join their "Vine" program.... This is a deal where manufacturers give Amazon samples of products, and Amazon offers them to Vine members at NO COST... You get access to a set of pages for the products and I can request up to three items a day, with a cost of up to $100 each... If I write enough reviews I go up to the next level where I can order eight items a day w/ no price limit - for FREE except writing the reviews... FAQ says US citizens only (sorry) and there is a gotcha that if you get over $600 / year worth they send the IRS an I-9 for the value of the items... But I've been getting lots of neat stuff that fits in the 'nice to have, but probably wouldn't buy' category... A lot of the things are (IMHO) real crap, but I still have found a lot of things that seem worth getting...

Re: There's Always The Weather
It was almost 80F here yesterday. It was 55, maybe, today. But it was sunny. It's that wonderful time of the year now when it gets dark at 5PM.
