At the time, having a mechanic friend with a welder, we took the '93 Dakota Sport and welded the rear end into a full time positrack. That truck, for 2wd, had way too much power to be spinning one wheel.
The heat index was 103F here today, hardly a breeze, and murky sunshine. The air you can wear. Now it's getting foggy, and the twilight was an eerie shade of purple. I watered the pumpkin patch, as some leaves were yellowing. Somehow, I have a nice white pumpkin that I didn't plant, and plan to render down into a pie. That's IF my little garden friend doesn't eat it. They're already into the tomatoes, so put all the waste stuff in a pile to lure them away. Spent the better part of the day peeling and seeding cucumbers, melons, and tomatoes to either eat, cook & save, or freeze for chili this winter.
I have managed to get a strange, hybrid pepper created by a bee here last year. I had a Calico Ornamental - a variegated purple, white, green, gray foliage pepper with small purple fruits that ripe to red. The Scoville rating is about 28k. Well, one of the seeds produced a plant that is not so variegated, and has fatter green fruits so far turning purple. My brave neighbor rated it at about Habanero heat. We've been happy with the yield of the Time Bomb/Cherry Bomb peppers.

I think 3750 Scoville is a bit conservative for them, however.
My plain old Bell Peppers aren't getting very large, despite all the care. I think I will harvest them green, eat a few, and freeze the rest for chili, along with the Jalapenos. My Havasu plants haven't produced like last year.
https://bonnieplants.com/products/havasu-hot-pepper but they've been worth it. I don't have much luck over-wintering pepper plants, but now and then one makes it. I picked 2 small Pimentos on Christmas Day 2022 from my indoor plant, which died in May when I took it outside! This week is probably going to finish off the garden, with a high Thursday at 100F or more plus humidity.
