:)moose time

Moose time? as in 6 Central, 7 eastern, 8:30 Newfoundland? Maybe 8:15 moose time?

A Canadian once told me that meese (mooses?) were dumb, like a sprig of broccoli with eyes. Sound right?

June Gloom here. :-|

Ah what is so rare as a day in June,

Then, ever if there are perfect days,

The Sun tries Earth if it be in tune,

and over her softly his warm ear lays...

moi, at least that's as best as I remember from the first grade.

Thank you for waking that old, long ago memorry

at any rate, I hope that you are healthy and reasonably happy and that gloom has passed!

It's hot here. Normally, I'm wearing a hoodie until the heat index hits a minimum of 80F. But we're beyond that! Temperatures in the 90F+ range with humidity. At least we've had a lot of rain lately, as we were getting really dry there for a while. It's a muggy evening. I've been wandering around checking for summer mushrooms, and eating wild raspberries as well as my domestic yellow ones. A few of the "early" low-growing blackberries, which the old folks call "dewberries", are beginning to come on.

Wondering if Moi grows herbs? I harvested a load of mint as well as sage today for drying. My tomatoes are finally blooming. Peppers are not doing well at all. Just not growing. Potted carrots and sweet potatoes are going OK. We picked the first cucumbers today, and one of the mystery seeds was a dreaded zucchini with a finger-size fruit on it already. I do have a few green tomatoes set on. My cabbages have baseball sized heads.

Is it hot where you all are?

Mint and Rosemary are easy to grow here.

So is Catnip / Cat Mint.

No luck with basil or other leafy herbs.

I have vegetable boxes filled with good soil in my yards and often

try grow in "native ground". With consideration for sun exposure.

Just no luck with them

just rode into the Phoenix valley. 102 at the moment. Warm considering I left San Diego's 67 just before noon. Yeah! It's warm. Fondling a cup of iced coffee hoping to bring my core temp down. Well at least until some stud heats it up again. 😄
