Cincinnati OH, Louisville KY, Baltimore MD, Pittsburgh PA, Elmira NY, Washington DC, Atlantic City, Roanoke and Lynchburg VA, and other cities (22 in all) have experienced the wettest years on record.

Sorry I can't discuss that anymore than I have.

Moi remembers when Dave was more fun.

Sharing when unable to get out his driveway because of the snow.

Share The Misery Dave.

Share.

Pity us Southern Californians who don't get such inconveniences.

I have had a total of 2 light snowfalls of 1/2 inch each.

Made for a pretty picture and then melted away.

Between now and January 15th there is one day below 40 for the daytime temperature.

It's been a warm winter so far.

I don't know that I believe you.

MY News keeps showing repeated convergence of storms

right over Western Pennsylvania.

I got maybe an inch of rain .

Planted a blueberry bush and Prune Plum Tree.

Not that cold so much by thermometer as low humidity sucking heat.

And our weakness in California towards the cold ;)

It's nearly 60 in parts of the Midwest today. Rain coming through, but only one front. It's spit snow here a few times, but no accumulation this season. Maybe I'm just romanticizing the snowy winters of childhood, but it hardly snows here anymore. I still have iris in the south flowerbed up and green, near the wall. Beginning to think that not being cold and covered in snow is contributing to why they don't bloom.

And now they are calling for up to 8" of snow with possible ice first, spread out over the whole weekend.

Panic has gripped the local yay-hoos, as they are flocking to the grocery stores to buy cartloads of everything.

I guess I'll be finding out if the old Ford's 4wd system still works.

Around here, everyone drives in those conditions -- forget the grocery store. Last storm like that, I drove 200 miles in it - no 4WD. I get such a laugh out of all the panicked responses.

Yeah, but where you are, they actually service the roads. Here, you're on your own.

Southwest Michigan is a typical snow belt but so far this winter we have gotten a welcome break. Moderate snow in November, almost none in December, and light so far in January. Above average temperatures many days. Hope the trend continues. We need a break.

The rain this year has been Camelot style.

Last night delivered 2.5 inches. That's more than my total rainfall in some dry years.

"They" say after a day or two of now rain, we are in for some rain daily for a few day.

Beautiful clouds of white to gray. I have missed a proper Autumn/Winter for many years.

"My Mexican", brought me some huge corn seeds and she planted some in one of my

planter boxes a few days ago.

I still have to plant my sweet shelling peas and maybe fava beans this early.

I usually wait until later to plant the fava beans. They don't seem to like the cold.

When they grow right, I eat sweet beans fresh picked. They don't seem to get sweet in the cold.

Anyone Know A Type of Tomato resistant to brown leaf.

I barely get one fruit before they crump. Except Cherry and Grape that do better.
