How do you deal with the loss of electricity.
A generator? Propane or Natural Gas?
Too bad a Prius can't be used as a generator.
Deal with it, I'm sure you do.
The loquats are ripening but, bitter.
near 5' tall and flowering.
Predicted "storms" make hardly any rain as they pass.

Re: There's Always The Weather
Really.
With after purchase changes or "plug in ready" from the factory?
Just a couple 110 V plugs or a big one that can be plugged into the house?
BTW I have a Genera
Automatic.
Got it way back before they advertised on TV.

You mean a portable, not built in.
Mine was $10,000 plus twice a year servicing.
It is wonderful being the only home in the n'hood with lights.
I have a thing against liquid fuel because when you need it, it may have "aged".
You could just get a Prius and see if Freddyjack is accurate.

There is a bird chirping this morning as first light hits the sky. Haven't heard that in a while.

Have you considered a diesel generator? Fewer problems with aging fuel.

Natural gas has not failed in America since the great San Francisco E'quake.
And if I did not feel so secure with Natural Gas, I would probably opt for Propane.
No liquid fuels that may, over time, go bad.
And when you are pushing 70, one knows - Time Happens.
There have been days when my Natural Gas Generac generator ran for over 24 hours
and it doesn't really appear on my Gas Bill as badly as the Hot Tub in Winter.
I do not know how many days a tank full of Propane would last.
Apparently longer than powering my hot tub in the Winter.
Sometimes I wonder if my generator hijacks natural gas not going through the meter, but it does.
No one is sharing their weatherfulness
Except one, Arab Nights.

Re: There's Always The Weather
April Fool's Day is upon us that for some wonderful reason
is the same as "their" - Easter.
March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb
yet so much weatherfulness unshared across the E.A. Nation.
Well I ain't gonna share mine
Well, manybe - - -
Although 3 sorts of forgotten spinach seed have sprouted.
I mean beyond the 2 blades of grass, sprouting. Big Leaves identifying which of 3 kinds.
Broadleaf, wrinkledleaf, and on a stalk, supper market style.
