Re: There's Always The Weather
Are you saying Durango, Santa Fe and Salt Lake City have ideal climates (joke)? Actually, I was just in Salt Lake Sunday and besides they have the signals set so you have to stop every frigging block, it was an overcast, slushy, dreary weekend which didn't break until about Cedar City heading south. St. George and Las Vegas had beautiful blue skies with high cirrus.
Arizona politics arranged that cold in Show Low to keep you hippies from getting naked and having fun. Conservatives do not allow such behavior.
Good to see you posting, Devi.

Re: There's Always The Weather
The recent storms that closed the 101 about 2 - 3 hours north of me with a mudslide,
delivered a whole 1.5 inches of rain over 3 days.
It was the product of a humid, tropical area from ole Mexico and the storm systems from the northern Pacific that just haven't made it south of central California this season.
When a Pineapple Express from RiverLand joins such occurrences, it is wonderfully wet.
Temp about 60. Fresh, crisp air.
Mostly clear sky with haze out over the ocean.

Re: There's Always The Weather
A couple of rain possibilities only from the northern Pacific didn't make it down this far.
Cold, dry winds followed the last rain fail.
Next rain fail, this Thursday.
It is disappointing
we have not heard from those more frozen.
Dave has been here and uploading, but just not sharing his

boo hoo
It's winter. It snows. It's cold.
That's all the weather report I need to make

Re: There's Always The Weather
After five days in the high 30s and low 40s (F), we are now paying for it with a blizzard. Predictions range from 3 inches to 12 depth of snow. In Minnesota, snow happens.

I envy you - you have proper winters.
In my part of the UK it’s just cool, dull & wet. It’s not much different in the summer - sometimes it’s hard to tell what season it is!

Re: There's Always The Weather
I just got done removing 10 inches of snow from walks cars trucks and 130 feet of driveway. It is still coming down. Probably, from the looks of national radar, this will continue for another 3-4 hours at about an inch an hour. Do it again in the morning. Getting too damned old for this crap. If only I could afford to retire to Florida...
