No flowers?

A field of Baby Blues, or Poppies or whatever? Flowers?

I mean if you wanna really call it a Goldilocks Day.

Was there any fragrance in the air. Even that Autumn smell.

The cool down is pleasant although the moisture is probably very polluted,

my bronchreceptors tell me. The A/C is running as a dehumidifier.

Sunday through Tuesday is scheduled to be the hottest weather of the year

and not sparing my territory on the seaward side of the 405 a Heat Alert.

Up to now we have been spared alert status so y'know this hot spell means business.

Wishing for cool Autumn days and a spot or three of rain.

Meanwhile I have lots of imported water to saturate my ground and garden before the heat hits.

Doing my part to relieve the stress on the reservoirs before the wet season hits.

Wouldn't that be a treat! She is one of my favorite hotties. Excuse me while I slide into a fantasy about when both of us were younger.

She found Jesus with our (Orange County, California) local Rev. Robert Schuller sometime between his drive in movie theater days and his crystal cathedral days.

Before she passed away in 1980 she did some conservative interviews looking back at some old photos remarked she was beautiful and hardly anything racy compared to today, then.

A cool, crisp, fresh breezy day with big gray clouds, white clouds and clear skies peppered.

The Heat Alert is coming peaking on Tuesday. What a tease of Autumn this one day was.

Goldilocks was nice while it lasted. Once of those zinger cold fronts with winds and rain and blah drizzly gray skies. Gave me that feeling that I was going to be sick. A night tucked tightly under all the blankets kept sickness at bay.

Thanks for the link, moi. The video of Betty had a kind of innocent charm to it from an earlier age.

The Heat has been delivered as promised.

Just over 100F then, the Santa Ana winds kicked in.

I got my A/C running (with rate reduction because of asthma)

Attic fans also venting warmer in home air or they would just circulate in 100+F ambient air.

Ran the sprinklers a bit although the ground is well saturated.

Also some local sprinkler activity to my planter boxes. I'm getting sick of asparagus

Some wild lettuce sprouts are sprouting.

The new cats keep the riot going when they are not sleeping.

Acquired from the Newport Beach Animal Shelter they are a few months apart but pals.

The male, more March 24 is huge with big pair paws and an Orange/White tuxedo coat. Pretty Boy Kitty.

The female born June 1, is tiny and the boss. Dark gray tabby coat with a long tail. Floosie Kitty.

All neutered, vaccinated and chipped. I miss the old days of Free Kitten signs by a market, a box of kittens.

Today you have to fill out an application and wait for approval.

In three days here in Michigan we have gotten at least 5 inches of rain! I wish it had crossed northern California before the wildfires!

The heat is leaving slower than predicted, but leaving.

In a week and 10 days, rain is forecast with a 50% chance over several days.

My home page - Yahoo News - has been running a picture of the

E.A.:hearthrob Land looking like the Fargo movie. Except the whole picture frame is just white.

https://www.yahoo.com/gma/snow-blows-mi ... ories.html

The first winter storm of the season is blowing through the upper Midwest and western Great Lakes, bringing blizzard-like conditions and several inches of snow.

Anyone still online from the :hearthrob Land?

It getting cooler here in N. Call....not yet cold. I still have 2 roofs to work on, one a friends and one mine. One is a large tile roof, with a solar water heater...and a leak...

Thinking about getting an old van, driving up to Oregon/Washington, and spend the winter high on the beach...

When in comes to the weather, us left coast folks don't worry 'bout a thang!

chilli

....except floods, fires, quakes, tsunamis, taxes and being declared a sanctuary state! With a huge disproportionate number of the nations homeless.....who does that!!!!!!
