Then they bred the need for chill hours out of Blueberries and they are grown in California and Mexico.
Same with the fruit trees that will work in Agri Zone 10 of the Greatest State of California.
So what's your agri zone there in Maine? A 3.
Flannel shirt weather and it was wonderful.
Brisk, cool wind. Tonight with that salt smell from the ocean.
Soon to be 15F warmer. Another Native American Summer will be upon us.
New cats are a riot. Well the little one is. The big one is calmer but they wrestle together with no "screams" as rough as it look. There is only a 2 month and 2 week age difference. Born 3/24 and 6/1.
The big one is an orange and white tuxedo cat and the little one is a gray tabby.

Send me some.
I have two Blueberry bushes. The berries are good, very Blueberry flavor but, the bushes don't thrive that well.
Somewhat in the 80's and I looked outside at my white, concrete patio and it was "orange".
I looked up in the sky, and near the sun but no fire clouds could be seen.
But yes there was a fire between MacWolf and Moi off the 91.
I am not use to young cats. It is so blissful when they sleep.

Aspens are turning gold in the High Uintas. Golden aspen groves against the dark green of the conifers is just the most beautiful color combination in nature I can think of. Just gorgeous.

Re: There's Always The Weather
Another Native American Summer event.
Just when one might believe Summer is over.
Even if it feels tolerable in the shade, the sun has that "hot light" quality.
Through the Summer we had many "possible rain" events.
None has occurred recently. Nor rain then.
Some of my vegetable boxes have had their soil turned and manure added.
Now I let them rest for 2 month before planting sweet shelling peas that won't grow well planted later.
Also gonna try spinach & lettuce. I sprinkle a seed mixture and let what likes it there grow.
Three attempts at corn this year were failures with seed that worked before. The ears were 1 - 2 inches of sweet corn.

Re: There's Always The Weather
Are any of you California folks experiencing any effects from those disastrous wild fires? I've said a prayer or two for you and wish you all the best. God bless!
