I am soon to be recatted.
Expected cool down did not happen. It got a bit warmer. And the air is full of moisture that feels toxic to breath.
What a shame they don't measure pH of the air, moisture in the air.
Beautiful clouds.
The Fuji apples are ripening and the Pecan Tree is getting full of Black Mildew.

Re: There's Always The Weather
It has cooled down with the day's high barely above 70. Blue sky to clouds to haze cycling.
The sun light feels warm but the air is cool and fresh. Not that humid stuff we've been suffering.
Only that smell of rotting leaves is missing to absolutely feel Autumn.
Fuji apples are ripening and sweet and the tree blossomed a few open flowers today.
The 3-4' tall corn produced 3" of cobs that was mostly covered with the sweetest, most tender, white & yellow corn.
Great to eat fresh out there in the field. The rats think so too.
Tomorrow I get recatted. More to follow.

Hi Ernie of Maine, seen any White Walkers yet this advancing cold season?
My Fuji Apple does have a few flowering blossoms and the apples are ripening.
Rarely a single apple, more often a bunch, like grapes.
Usually it carries several crops of different time. That is how it is in a frost free world.
Today is a cool, breezy 68F with a few drizzles just enough to wet the pavement without creating a puddle.
2 new cats. Born March 24 and June 1. They get along great but I do miss the peace of an older cat.
More on cats later.

That 'Yeah!" you hear is from Arizona. Have used a dab of heat at night twice this year. Temps projected to drop 10 degrees this weekend. This usually happens Sept. 15 - Oct. 15. Now is time to start venturing out into the great AZ outdoors.

In the fifties, all the blueberries I ever ate were from Michigan.
Then they bred the need for chill hours out of Blueberries and they are grown in California and Mexico.
Same with the fruit trees that will work in Agri Zone 10 of the Greatest State of California.
So what's your agri zone there in Maine? A 3.
Flannel shirt weather and it was wonderful.
Brisk, cool wind. Tonight with that salt smell from the ocean.
Soon to be 15F warmer. Another Native American Summer will be upon us.
New cats are a riot. Well the little one is. The big one is calmer but they wrestle together with no "screams" as rough as it look. There is only a 2 month and 2 week age difference. Born 3/24 and 6/1.
The big one is an orange and white tuxedo cat and the little one is a gray tabby.
