Then again, it's gonna be one helluva Wildflower season come March/April.

Especially for those seeds that require a fire roasting, then rain to sprout.

I witnessed it once. Carpets of Blue and Oranges along hillsides and pastures.

Wolfie, really - please share the wildflower season here. Gracias.

And more rain Sunday and Monday. Enjoy. After a windy Thursday. :-\

That's a good one, Wolf. Thanks for starting my day with a laugh.

The promised rain for Sunday and Monday appears to be dissolving. :(

More news at eleven.

CBS News reports the EA :hearthrobLand is having is' just and proper Winter.

Even their internet is frozen.

Now they say rain for Wolfie et Moi Late Sunday and a different storm, Monday.

Both appear to be light weight as rain storms go.

Today had wind and cloudy skies then the dark clouds and big booms started. Pouring rain with the wind and lightning, add the small hail. Then rain changed to sleet and temp went from high 50s to currently 32. Yesterday was sun and almost 70. It's kinda March weather lamb then lion. But the days are getting longer and warmer more birds are showing, large flock of geese flew heading north. To those having terrible weather thoughts and prayers to you, mother nature is very powerful lady not to be thought to lightly.

Numbhead,

We had a colder weekend when compared to the unseasonable warmth we have been blessed with so far this year. We'll gratefully take the thoughts and prayers you send and let it be a reminder who "mother nature" really is and Who is actually in control.

I, too, saw and heard a couple of noisy high flying gaggles of geese heading north recently and our first robin sitting on a fence yesterday. Both signs of good things to come.

And thanks to Dave (Post # 2387) for posting the link to the interesting article about how the recent heavy rain in CA might not be unusual and just part of a historical weather pattern.

Thanks.

Here in the Western Pennsylvania area, we have had two weeks of really cold weather all winter. This is the second year that I have successfully avoided putting my snow tires on my car.

The weekend here was 32 degrees and tomorrow thru Wednesday will be in the 60's and Thursday and Friday will be cold again.

This is the kind of weather I expect to see in mid to late March not mid to late February.
