Gray and barely over 70F for weeks.

Barely under 60F at night.

Squirrels are eating my front yard corn.

I have relocated 4 and at least one to go.

While Waiting For HeatWaveZilla

today was a mostly pleasant day.

The sun light was that irritating, microwave, make you hot type sun light

but, there were modifying high clouds and a fresh breeze off the ocean.

I do believe it was 8 degrees cooler at my house than at the ocean's edge

about a mile or less as the crow flies, no mountains, I'm on a bluff with line of sight.

In the late afternoon the house did start to get to 74F, so I closed it up and

turned on the A/C. Good decision. My attic fans are running too.

Although the L.A. area is said to witness the Orange Sky of the Santa Barbara fires,

I have not seen any smokey skies here.

The squirrels keep coming. No matter how many I live trap and relocate,

they keep coming. I will give it 2 more squirrels being relocated before

I consider "poison". The squirrels keep coming I tell ya.

How's your weather?

Anything weatherful?

The squirrels keep eating the Princess' garden. Keep telling to get out the traps, but he wont. Afraid of getting bitten. Keep saying garden or squirrels, your choice

"They" say the electricity went out in Newport Beach, The O.C.

because of the heat. It was out for some 24 hours although

it briefly came on before shutting down again.

My automatic, Natural Gas Generator did its' thing quite well.

Sort of fun to be the only house in the n'hood with lights.

Any suggestions for my July though Autumn crop.

The sweet shelling peas were best this year but, I never got them to work as a late crop.

Oh And A Bright Summer Solstice to One And All!
