Over 2" less rain this El Nino season than last year this time, during the drought.

With a 6" total, 2" is big.

If you can figure it out, please let me know.

The effect of the warmth by "El Niño" over the Pacific Ocean has been pushing the jet stream much further north than usual. Meanwhile fire season has already set in over much of the inter-mountain west.

There are red flag warnings -that is wildfire danger throughout the southern great plains (you know, the dust bowl area of the 1930s). But luckily not all that much goes indiscriminately under the plow these days.

About a whole one third of an inch of rain last night

and more allegedly coming for the Monday AM traffic commute.

Today it was clear, windy, fresh - fresh - fresh air that turned chilly to the feel.

Corn seeds sprouting as are some watermelon, garlic & sweet onion.

The sweet shelling peas are climbing. I start those early.

A full globe of white blossoms on the Royal Apricot tree lent a perfume fragrance if y'got near it.

A few asparagus spears a day while the peach, plum and pecan trees sleep.

The loquats gain size.

Got Weather?

WEll Moi, it's raining moose and squirrels here - that's harder than cats and dogs and I love it. I have my front door open so I can hear it come down :)

DAMN, I think winter is over. Lately it's been in the low 80's. Who do I complain to? Can I blame Moi?

Last week, with humidity and in the sun, it hit 80F here.

It's going to snow tomorrow.

Who to blame?
