Wishing.

Wishing.

Wishing.

I am prepared.

I got drainage.

I got my 4WD old Ford Expedition

I got my NG power generator at the side of my house.

I Am Wishing.

My fav place to be when it rains is by the ocean shoreline.

Wind. Waves. Rain. Mysterious Sky.

The water was great about 78 deg perfect for swimming, and it poured at times so hard you could not see the other side of the pool but what the hell we went there to get wet. It rained most of the day never got above 75 or so.

HAWAII ISLAND – The summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa above 12,000 feet are under a Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service, in effect until noon on Saturday.

Forecasters say deep moisture in the trade wind flow is bringing freezing rain and snow showers to the upper slopes of the Big Island’s two massive volcanoes. Significant icing on roadways and strong winds blowing northeast at 10 to 20 mph are expected.

“Due to ice and hail,” read a message posted to the Mauna Kea Weather Center website (http://mkwc.ifa.hawaii.edu/current/road-conditions/) at 6 p.m. Friday, “the access road to the summit is closed at the VIS until further notice. Thank you for your patience and understanding and we will update the road conditions as the weather unfolds.”

Temperatures on the mountain are expected to lower into the upper 20’s overnight, and will warm to the upper 30’s by Saturday afternoon.

Of course down here at sea level its whale watching time.

Radar showed a nice storm cell moving on my home.

It was two hours away with deep orange in the middle, surrounded by yellow, deep green and light green.

Only two hours away it was, per the interactive radar.

Then, just like that - "poof".

No storm cell. No rain. :(

Those Federals and their weather bureaucracy are such teases. 🙄

Moi 🚬

Still waiting for El Nino.

Y'know the biggest, most gargantuan El Nino.

That one. 😠

Here is the first time that I've seen a forecast based from the El Nino that I can really say that I understood in detail.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/11/1 ... California

No, I will not copy the text for two reasons 1) the illustrations can't be reproduced here, and 2) the text is way to political.

I don't want to discuss politics. I will ignore anything posted along those lines.

I just want the people in California to be aware of what the El Nino means for them.

Mostly, rain across the southern USA and the Northeastern USA will be warmer.

The Western USA will be wetter which it needs because of the drought. I still don't see predictions of the snowpack in the Rockies which supplies much water to the states west of them. I Am also glad that middle America's farmlands stay near normal.

added: For those who know me and think I'm a bit flaky -- My lawn needed mowing today and I have the air-conditioner on because it got to 70 deg F today. For November 18th, that's flaky. Me, I'm perfectly normal (wink, wink) ...

It finally looks like its slowing down, I see patches of blue sky today. Over the last 4 days we have received about 7 inches of rain. Everything is green, blooming, orchids are out in full bloom. It looks like its going to be a great day. Temp in the high 70s.

So how is the weather shaping up in your area?

We had chance for a dusting of snow today mixed with rain and 35F.

It's 33F, we have an inch of snow, and it's still coming down.

I fucking hate winter.
