I know many people that live in the bigger cities of America that don't have cars for the same reasons, cities like NY and San Francisco because it costs to much to park your car. When I worked in SF I would commute to Oakland then take the train into the city, from there everywhere I needed to go was on public transportation.

Here on the big island, I live so far off the beaten path, we do have bus service 3 times a day, I have a car, its 16 miles to the little village we live near, then another 20 to Hilo the nearest city of any size.

It is written that God sends the rain upon the just and the unjust. Comparing California to Indiana I'd say California must have done something just and righteous since Indiana and certain politicos have obviously been unjust and Indiana still gets rain regardless.

Damn! Did I just go political on you guys? 🤫......🙇

Oh well!🤷

...did that thread in 2005 come from the political boards?

Please don't shut down one of moi's threads. You know how it pisses him off...

HOT!

No forecast shows a cooling before October 6. 10 days away. :(

Got Autumn?

It seems to have paused here.

I've been enjoying our cool September rain in Virginia.

You're welcome for the earworm.

Thanks, River. Somewhere, somehow you just saved a whole roll of aluminum foil from becoming a hat.

Hiding from a hurricane at the moment.

To which I say in my best Dan Akroyd voice... MOI! You ignorant slut! Don't you know you need to keep your water in California? We have enough here already! :)

I noticed you not only have a Hurricane heading your way but also the storm of the century heading at you from the west calling for in some places 15 or so inches of rain not from the Hurricane.

Stay high and dry my friend.
