Moi has never been to Hawai'i, spent the day at the beach watching the surfers and whales and beautiful young ladies.

Of course today was like most days here, mid 80's, tomorrow promises to be about the same right through the end of the year.

I guess I am confused about the location of the EA:hearthrobLand. Or maybe Minnesota ain't the MidWest?

Here, the "air" remains soft and cozy.

I finally figured that "soft" effect is filtering high clouds and light fog effect. So cozy. Uninspiring. Land of the Lotus Eaters.

Yet, I still managed to hire one of my Mexicans to plant a 4 in one combination Plum tree I bought at Home Depot.

It is near the 4 in one Pear tree he planted last week. Amazing how available these trees have become and for some $25.

I have nine Asparagus root starters that need a home and the onions are sprouting miraculously.

I think I'm a gonna plant some corn or more sweet shelling peas.

It is a really nice season this early February.

Not harsh and dry like the drought years.

Northern California reservoirs will continue to fill this week securing Moi's imported water.

You & Riv sound like my younger sister who lives in So Cal. Loves to give me shit when we get a dose of winter. I figure it's revenge for all the teasing she took from me when we were kids. Moi: Note I said CENTRAL Midwest. I think the EA homeland in NW WI & twin cities qualifies as Northern Midwest. We got a couple more yesterday and there's a couple more forecast for today. So much for your boring fruit trees, whales and sunshine.

LOL, think I will go check and see if the bananas are ready to pick, I have a couple nice pineapples about ripe too. And after living in the Northern Midwest for a dozen years, (I did give it a chance) I can say I have no regrets for having moved.

The only thing I do miss is all the good friends I left behind, you included.

I planted some sweet shelling pea seeds and corn.

Not too many, gotta save some planting for tomorrow and besides,

the weather is not conducive to "work". Pass the lotus.

Around here, I've heard Upper U.S., though it sounds a lot like "Uppa you ass." Come to think of it, maybe that's what they were saying.

Researchers: Climate change affecting Hawaii Island storms

HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaii island is seeing more frequent heavy storms, and climate change may be the reason, according to two University of Hawaii researchers.

Of course it isn't their own volcano. that goes against dogmatic climate scienceism (religious science)

Green shelling peas are growing near an inch a day. One asparagus plant is making spears, I cut every other one. Yum!

Bees seem to be making an early appearance so I may forgo a bee hive for pollination this year.

I like this time of year.

Airplanes coming into John Wayne Manifest Destiny Airport approach from over the ocean.

Of all my trees, the Persimmon tree is breaking bud while the peach, apricot, etc. remain asleep.

Well except for the loquat slowly ripening due to the previous cool temperatures.

The sun feels so hot on the surface of skin.

And not a "good" hot but a "burn" hot and a cancer, cancer, cancer, hot.

The News reports when the next storm hits Boston town, they will have no place to put the snow.

I guess dumping it into the ocean is not an option. Atlantic Thermal Conveyor and all that about salinity.

I Wonder if Ernie of Maine is receiving any of the delight reserved for the Boston area.

NYC apparently is not.
