3 storm drains don't allow Lake Moi to form in the back yard, no more.
I sleep soundly on stormy nights, no longer waiting for the moment when I need to run a bilge pump or siphons.
My estimate is I got 2 maybe 3 inches of rain over these storms and more coming.
Where oh where is the "Good News" regarding California rivers, lakes, reservoirs, snow packs.
It looks like we are in that classic wet year weather pattern of successive storms bringing "rain" and "snow".
Next event - middle of next week. <glub
When I was a kid, they would helicopter spread rye grass seed on the bare hills.
Especially the ones that were control burned.
The hope was for a small rain to germinate the seed before the big ones in November/December.
Had they done that this year, it would have worked. And worked to prevent mud slides just as it use to do.
