I have very light snow but still snow.

Luckily the most idiotic week long extravaganza of replacing a blown tire resulted in my putting snow tires on my car and a brand new tire in the garage. Not that I intend to drive anywhere but the car is prepared.

And boy, am I glad I went food shopping yesterday for all things turkey and more everyday meals. the supermarket was crowded but not totally crazy. Today, however, in the snow and the day before, it's going to be a total zoo and/of a three ring circus. There won't be a roll of toilet paper or a bag of potato chips left in the store by tonight.

I say that because I leave the store with $150 dollars of meat and $50 of vegetables, potatoes, and bread. . .

The light snow that hasn't completely covered the grass and its melting off the streets.

The major snowfalls in Pennsylvania are on and east of the Appalachians which are east of Pittsburgh.

To give you an idea on a map - Morgantown West Virginia is getting snow (monogalia county) and that snow goes northeast into Pennsylvania east of Uniontown, and Greensburg and New Stanton, and then more east and north to Harrisburg and toward Philadelphia and up to Scranton PA. Scranton is in Eastern PA.

Google weather must have had a heart attack. It says the daytime temp is 32 F. It feels more liker 85 F. to me.,

Over 80F at the desert by the sea,

and so very dry.

They say 1.5 to 3.0 inches of rain is coming.

BTW I noticed Weather folks out of Atlanta are the worst at predicting my weather.

It probably was 32°C, which is 90°F. Your fair city was the hottest place in the U.S. today – 94°F. I hope you managed with it.

Here we are after the storm..We got 6-8 inches of very heavy, wet snow.Everything's back to working fine...I have to admitit sure is pretty.but COLD smooches Jackie

It's still cold here - below 0 Fahrenheit.

Although tomorrow is supposed to be more seasonal - round about 40 F.

The very odd thing is that December may end up being warming than November in this area. The Jet Stream seems to have stabilized with the cold weather moving north and not south. It was a dip in the jet stream caused by that huge-assed typhoon that ravaged Japan and the Pacific in November that brought the polar air down over the USA. That's all gone north again and we're back to seasonal temperatures.

We have nine feet of sunlight piled up around everything here. When you open a door, it flows in and just fills up the room no matter how fast I sweep.

There was just enough snow this AM to have to get out the snowblower. Cold too. Will warm up to a balmy 35F or so tomorrow - I can wash the truck without the doors freezing shut. Gets cold again after tomorrow. Think it is gonna be another tough winter, following up on last winter, which was brutal.

Last Winter was a series of 3 Canadian Polar Vortexes from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

It does not seem that pattern is happening, but rather just one - well positioned.

The Pacific storms are making it further and further down the California coast.

This is a good pattern with Santa Ana Winds in between.

"They" say rain is coming between late Sunday through Tuesday, on and off I guess.

Although Weather.com in Atlanta doesn't believe it. No Wonder the governor of Georgia didn't ask them for storm advice.

The other thing is this year, the barometer flirts with 30.00, higher for Santa Ana Winds, lower for rain chances.

In dry times it fluctuated but, well below 30.00.

The Autumn leaves are making their last stand. The storm next week will probably end their reign of colors

So I put up my Christmas lights.
