It hit us hard, trees down everywhere power polls twisted off half way up the polls.

The people here in Hawaii are wonderful, people offering rooms or even just a shower. Its Aloha, feel the love, hear the drums.

It has been continuous La La Weather in La La Land.

Don't do today what you can do tomorrow kind of weather.

The hint of Autumn in the air for these last days is now offset by a weather influenced by the hurricane down south producing some spectacular waves.

Isn't anyone having some of them excessive water events back East of Paradise?

I don't know about east of you but west of you it rains every day, how much rain have you gotten and how much has California gotten? If California does not get rain soon it will be the paradise lost.

Feels Like Indian Summer in August.

It was so nice, becoming cool, the smell of Autumn in the air -

then this Autumnal Heat unpredicted by the Federals and their unconstitutional Weather Service.

Although the thermometer just says "80F", well not really speaking it, the sun has a burn feel.

Good thing I watered heavy last night with lots of imported water.

It's still very much like summer here. . .

In fact, this summer, the grass did slow its growth during the hot but it didn't go brown and ugly.

I know the frequency of mowing because I pay the mower when he shows up and I can track the dates of the checks.

I'm very protective of my lawn. I like my green lawn. I don't want a hayfield in front of the house.

As for smells -- let's see - barbecue from an unknown neighbor (May his coals burn fast, furious and run out of heat if I can't get an invite) . . . mown hay from the neighbor's yard. Donkey shit from The crazy lady who keeps weird pets. . . Deer shit from bewteen my evergreens (bambi is growing up. I have pictures). Rotting leaves from the ravine. Horse manure when I visit my neighbor over that-a-way - -

NOPE, no cool, autumn smell or rotting leaves and decaying whatever. We have raptors in the air and they leave little bits of varmints decaying and stinking.

And the cripsy tang of one fried bird that landed on my power transformer 20 feet up the electric pole - arced the damn thing and blew it out.Not sure what bird because all that is left is a black and carbonized lump that resembles a bird.

Its called a drought, that's what happens when there is no rain, fall colors come in mid summer.

California is water impaired, solution 💡 let the golf courses die.

We would save more water if we stopped growing rice in the delta.

At least the Rice fields produce food, golf courses change the local environment, look at what it has done to the climate in the Palm Springs area. In 1970 you would see summer temps in the 120 range with humidity in the range of 2%, there were about 10 golf courses then, look at it today.
