The 🐈 kitties would be fine under the dome.

OFBK :kittygray would find a way out. ;)

The last couple of days have been over cast and today was so comfy.

I wish my garden thrived on gray weather as I do.

Harvested the last of my Peter's Honey Fig and the Mission Figs are just beginning, again.

The birds were getting them so I have it safely netted and the fruit is okay.

Between the 4 squirrels and the birds, I missed out on tree ripened apricots and peaches.

This year is a battle.

Last night I heard a screech and thought the cats were getting into it. But, they were all asleep.

It was my Electric Fence at work. My neighbors are getting hit by evening marauding raccoons but,

I have my fence to teach them to make a wide circle around this property.

I bought a couple of peanut plants and planted them. My corn is about 4" - 6" high. I plant that late after the sweet shelling peas won't grow anymore.

The Asparagus patch is trippy and several types of back yard peaches are ripening.

The front yard was 2 months ahead of the back yard in timing. So weird.

The tomatoes all got the usual wilting disease and are mostly gone. They all produced good fruit this year.

I am so sick of tomatoes. ;)

And that's the way it is at The Center of the Universe, Southern Coastal California

The days are pleasant but,

the evenings are so damned humid. <choke>

One of the loquat trees is showing blossoms.

How weird is that ?

Running the A/C as a dehumidifier.

Yep, after 10 straight days of rain, the sun is out and its humid here too. Just like we like it, HOT and HUMID.

OH for joy.

Keep in mind it rains here every day, mostly at night but sometime during the day it will most likely rain as well. Most people don't pay it any attention to it as in who cares if its raining when its 80deg? really.

We got down into the 55F area here last night; I nearly froze to death. Left the window open, the dog had the blanket. I wore a hoodie most of the day today.

Large Pink "Naked Lady" flower spikes appear "wild" in my neighborhood around

mid August to early September.

They appeared in my yards on their own and produce bulbs and seeds that really work, & spread obviously.

About 3 / 4 of the way through July, they started to appear and now are in abundance.

We know it isn't the drought. They get watered. Mine heavier than most. ;)

Does this foretell the early, wet Autumn 🙏 Ghia 🙇 may visit on California ?

Stay tuned. Updates to follow.

Humidity lightening up. Last night it was thick enough to drown trying to breathe it. 🥴

The windows were closed and the A/C run to clean up the house air. 📏

Venice beach where lightening struck a group of people in conducting salt water is about 50 miles north on the coast from Moi. There way be a market for lightening rods while wadding on the beach. The problem is, who gets to carry the lightning rod? 🙄

Remember Yoli 🪆? She reported graphite fishing poles a wonderful/dangerous lightening rod.

Oh Yoli how could you leave?😢

Well you better hope for rain and a lot of it, California is out of water and moi is still watering all his plants.

on the other hand,

Hawaii gets rain daily. As a matter of fact there is a storm heading our way, should be here Thursday, Typhoon Iselle Category 3. Batten down the hatches, load in the supplies were under siege.

Finally, some clear, dehumidified atmosphere.

<breathe> <breathe>

About 78F with an occasional cool breeze.

About 40 miles east of me, as the crow flies, maybe a bit further -

was the location of those big, big, flash floods & mudslides produced by 5 " rain in one hour.

Not the kind of wetting I prefer.

There is something in the air and color of the sun light and the plants that makes me feel

this will be an Early Autumn.

And who knows, maybe another "March Miracle" although I would prefer

an October / November / December / January / February one, continuously over those months.

Dear Lord DEAR

It is time you watered your California creation.

If you can't take care of your pets, don't create them !

Didn't your mother teach you that?

:D

The first storm in a one-two punch heading for Hawaii clamored ashore in the overnight hours Friday as a weakened tropical storm

It looks like Julio is going to miss the party. :(

Did YOU get any of the thunderstorm rains, Wolfie ?

Hardly a drop by the coast.
